My mother’s wedding as I remember what she told me:
My mother was Gabriella Harrison Pruett - Father was Lawrence Battle Seal, both of Caroline Co>Co. Married on July 3, 1866 at her home on the lawn, around 6:00 p.m. by the Rev. Edgar Rowe.
Her gown was white with a long veil. Twelve bridesmaids and grooms - don’t remember but a
few of their names. There was a wedding supper and large attendance of friends and neighbors.

Mother’s and father’s deaths:
March 7, 1917 Lawrence Battle Seal in the 71st year of his age. He was laid to rest in Shiloh
Cemetery at the church where he was a member. Good neighbor, good citizen, and Christian.
Gabriella Harrison Pruett Seal - passed away May 13, 1917 - she was sick only three weeks.
During this time she gave testimony of her Christian life. She was often in prayer and lead a
consecrated Christian life. Her daily prayer was that God would give us back to her, an undivided
family... laid away on March 10, 1917 at the church she loved so dearly among her loved ones
who had gone on before.
