I have that Louisa CHENAULT married Newton COLEMAN on 4/8/1834. He was the s/o William Henry and Pamelia COLEMAN of Cumberland Co, VA. I have the same 3 children that you have. I descend from DUNCANs in Buckingham Co so I have been trying to figure out just who this James DUNCAN was for years. I have the following in my notes about him.

"CENSUS: 1850 Buckingham Co, VA living in the household was Louisa DUNCAN, b abt 1805, Elizabeth COLEMAN b abt 1835, Madison and Addison COLEMAN (twins) b abt 1838, Jerusha Chernault b abt 1815, Elizabeth Chernault b abt 1847 NOTE: We know the 3 COLEMANs were siblings. 1860 Buckingham Co, VA Louisa is still there (Is she his wife, in spite of the age difference?) also in the household is Dr J. D. Penick age 27 (I believe this was Dr Josiah D. Penick who was born in Prince Edward Co, VA. He was probably boarding with them.)"

Jerusha is a mystery also.

Please contact me at rubygem3@verizon.net. I would love to compare what else we have.
