Janvier (James) CHENIER b.1836 m.bef.1861 Philomene POIRIER DELOGES ~ from Quebec province

Janvier born March 20, 1936(according to Quebec 1901 Census). Was already married to Philomene Poirier/Deloges in 1961 Census. At time of 1861 census he says his home is St. Hermas although he and his wife were in Bowman County. Canno't find records of birth or marriage and therefore canno't follow lineage any further back.

I am trying to find out any information on a Ernest Seburin Chenier of St. Boniface, Maintoba. he was in the navy and spent what may have been a few years in Jamaica, W.I. Around 1941 he met and married my grandmother, Lilian Barbara Wilson. At that time he had only been in the navy for 3 years and already one year in Jamaica. We estimate he may have only been around 21 years of age. The marriage may have been annulled in 1942. Anyone with information it would be great appreciated.

I have readed your email on the mesage board, and I have founded your answer to your question, as to know the marriage of Frank Chénier (François) (Cheney or Chaine) .

What I have discover on Généalogie.Org, very reliable source : François Cheney ( Chainé) married to Rose Labonté Phaneuf circa 1870, in Gentilly, Nicolet, Québec ( around ). The parents of the groom and bride are the following: the for Frank ( François ) they are; Edouard Chaié + Marguerite Normandeau and for the bride , Rose ; Francis Phaneuf + Rose Fréchette . The couple had a son , Louis Cheney ( Chainé).
