Use the book written by Robert Chew and published by the NJ Historical Society ONLY as a source of "possibilities" for the ancestry of John Chew who emigtated to Virginia. The author provides no source information to support his claims for the ancestry of John Chew.

I have spent quite a lot of time working on this Chew family and have over 14,000 descendants of John Chew in my database. Although I have included several generations of "likely" ancestors of John Chew, I have noted that this is NOT CONFIRMED. In fact, I have found no "confirmed" source information regarding the parents and other ancestors of John Chew. So beware of records showing any ancestry for him that do not clearly indicate that this is only a possibility and is not confirmed.
