Dear Shaun,

I was interested in your message regarding the Teeling Society in Poleglass. Our group THE TEELING GROUP are the only Teeling group in Poleglass. In September our group erected a monument in Poleglass in memory of the Teeling family and the united irishmen which was attended by several thousand people. We have aims to build something of the nature that you mentioned and we are surprised to hear of another group within our area. There is another Teeling society in the greater West Belfast area but two years ago this group were responsible in our group being denied funding to help us erect the monument, it was only with the support of the local people that we achieved our goal. We hope there is some mistake as this group are not based in the Poleglass area and have no local support.
