Hi There, James Cheyne born 1848 to William and Elizabeth Keith is my father in laws direct line, I'm researching his tree...As you said, James was brought up by the grandparents Wm and mary Annand; Elizabeth Keith married James Stocks and his father William Cheyne married Christian Duncan and migrated to USA. James Cheyne and Christina Crichton had 13 children, the younges being Alfred Cheyne born 1896-1979 and was the informant of his father James's death in 1913.
