Chein Hung Chi Chein Hung Chi passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, October 28, 2005 at the age of eighty-five. He leaves behind a loving wife of sixty years, Hui Shin Lo. His family, friend, and colleagues would like him to be remembered as the founder of all major amateur and professional athletic federations in Taiwan. He was able to build a bridge to help close the political chasm of Taiwan and China through athletics. As a father of tai kwan do, his work won two gold medals for his mother country in the last Olympic Games. In 1982, Papa Chi traveled to his adopted country and settled in Indiana. He lived in Bloomington for over twenty years. White in Bloomington, he established a relationship with Indiana University and became an honorary professor. Of his many accomplishments in life, his children: Yu-Mei, Wei Chou, and Ju-Ping, were his greatest. They are the owners and operators of Mikado Restaurant and Shanghai Lil.
