Well I can now answer my own remark. After visiting the small towns in Catanzaro, we were informed that old graves (50 years old or more) are usually covered over, and new graves stacked ontop.
Sorry we couldn't find you, great grandmother.

:\

Search for "White Pages Italy" ..... use this directory to locate Chiaravalloti's in Calabria or any other region, town, or city. The towns in Calabria which I found had the most telephone listings are:
Satriano: 39
Catanzaro: 40
Soverato:21
Crotone: 15 and
Davoli: 9
All these towns are are located in the Providence of Catanzaro. Good luck in your search.

Hello,
Do you know where the bulk of the Chiaravallotis are? We visited recently (Petrizzi, Catanzaro, where my grandfather was born) and could not find any cousins. We are returning next year and I want to look for the grave of my great grandmother.

Thanks.

Do you know the specific area where the majority of them are from? We visited Catanzaro recently and plan to return.

My grandfather was born in Petrizzi but there wasn't a Chiaravalloti to be found there, not even in the graveyard.
