Hello Roger,

I am related to Henry Chick, born around 1791. He married Mary Stokes 15 April 1817 in Hawkchurch, Dorset. In the 1851 Tatworth, Chard census it stated he was age 59 and born Membury Devon. He was buried 7 December 1854 in Chard. All of their children were born in Thorncombe. I am trying to find Henry's parents.


Hugh Chick b Membury C1750 had Charles born Membury C1770 (who married Elizabeth Roe) and also Hugh who was born in Kingston Devon C1787.
Could my Henry have been a brother to Charles and Hugh and also have been born in Kingston but it was just presumed by him/others that he was born Membury too?
