I just learned that this surname is part of my ancestry, thanks to a very nice lady from
,I think, the genealogical society in Dorchester, M.D:
Webster RICHARDSON, my gt gdfather, b Dorchester Co, MD 1850 d Cambridge, Md 1931. He married Mary Elmer DAVIS b 1856 d 1939.
Webster was the son of Jerome RICHARDSON and
Rose Ann BUSICK. Mary was the daughter of
William W. DAVIS and Sarah CHEEZSOM.
Webster and Mary had a daughter, Ethel Mae, who married LEROY BROWN, my grandfather. They had two sons, Leroy and Webster RICHARDSON Brown, my father.
The soundex search for Cheezsom listed numerous spellings. Other than Webster R and Brown all of this information is new to me. Does anyone know of these people?
