Need to connect with proof:
Edward d.1758 to Thomas b.1692.
Dixon b.abt 1770/80 to Briton b.abt 1745.
Barton b.bef 1796 to Dixon.
Carter b. 1818 to Barton.
I have seen a Hardy and Dixon in Mo census born in North Carolina about 1807/09. Does anyone have infromation on the family of these two.
Valentine Chitty of Isle of Wright mid 1600? Where does he fit in the family.

pg18 - Chitty Edward - account estate, among items many to Ruth Chitty. audited by Joseph Cobb, Cordell Norfleest and John Edwards. R. Sept 11, 1760
Isle of Wright Co. Deeds 1647/1719 -
9 Feb 1692 " Edward Chette for chopping the left ear of a boar not his own and Richard Wilkinson Sr". I am assuming this is the Edward Sr or a family member, my reason - sounds like a little to much drink and he was with Wilkinson Sr. I think that my Edward d.1758 was a little young to be charged with a grown man. just my opinion.
1790 Southampton VA Listed a Hardy Chitty with Brittain both tax ex.
BRITAIN 1787 Rent Rolls pg.1128 Southampton VA
BRITAIN 1782/87 Southampton VA Tax Payers listed with 1 son.
Dixon 1790 Moved and lives with a BARTON TAYLOR.
Maybe a clue is this where Barton Chitty got his name
Had never heard of this Chitty before.
