My mother was born in Dyer AK in 1915. She is the second child, first daughter, of Bert Daniel Chitwood and Sarah Alice Renfroe Chitwood. She is the only living member of her family. There are many Chitwoods buried in the Dyer Cemetery (including my grandparents and several aunts/uncles). The Chitwoods came to AK from Georgia so that might be a good place for you to start looking for your relative.
