Surnames: Christ, Crist, Kaska, Wertz, Christianson, Casper
I have traced my gg grandparents John Peter and Marie Christ to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. They bought property there in May of 1857. I believe they traveled from New York as they had a little boy who died there. No specific area. Then it's been said that they traveled down a canal to WI.
They have about 12 children and the names listed above are husbands last names of the daughters. My g grandmother was Bertha Marie Kaska and she had two daughters Mildred Leona (my paternal grandmother) and Beatrice. Mildred was born in 1898 in FDL.
Anyone know about this family? Quite a few are buried at Estabrook Cemetery.
If anyone is close to this city I have some lookups at the court house that I desperatly need to put some pieces together.
