CHRIST-DOWNEND
The marriage of Miss Lillian M. Christ and Mr. Fred Downend, both of Salina, took place Wednesday morning, August 14th at 10:00 o'clock at the Methodist parsonage of Solomon, Kansas, with the Rev. H.G. Feldman officiating, using the ring ceremony. The bride wore a rose crepe gown with white accessories and the groom wore a suit of Bonker grey.
Immediately after the ceremony the couple departed for a wedding trip to Topeka, returning to the parental home Saturday evening.
Mrs. Downend is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. U.G. Christ of Delphos and has been employed in Salina for the past four years.
Mr. Downend, formerly of Shelby, Ohio, has been employed near Salina for the past three years. After September 1 they will be at home in Salina
