I am the great-granddaughter of George Christians and Mary Clouse Christians. Did you find the information you wanted?

My grandfather was George W. Christians. He married Marie Louise Stokes and had two children: William Stokes Christians and Mary Alice Christians (my mother). William Stokes died in France in WWII. Ada, George's sister, married Charles Poth and had one daughter, Marilyn. Marilyn married Albert Petschek. Both George W. and Ada were college graduates. He was a civil engineer who worked on hydroelectric dams and I THINK she went to Vassar.

my great great grandparent are Christians. Tommie Christians and Eda Folkerdena Hanson his wife came over in the 1880 to 1885. My great grandmother is Ada or Eda Christians born in Rysum Germany. They had 9 Children who came over with them some lived Steamboat Iowa and other in George, Iowa.. I found all but 3. Looking for a John and Katie and one other who I don't know what his name is.

I am looking for information for Ekke Christians born 9/3/1869 in Osfriesland Germany. He was married on 9/19/1899 to a Johanna (Siemer). She immigrated in 1892 from Bremen to Baltimore. I am looking for Ekke's immigration date, and any information about his parents.

I am looking for place and date of death for Harm. Also any decendants of there 6 children. Harm, Eggert,Eppie, Herman or Hermanus, John, and Henry. They were all given to different families after there father Harms death. His death would have been sometime shortly after 1900. as I found them all listed in Walnut Township Ia. census. but there is no record of his death there.

I'm a Grandson of David Christians from Avon, S. D. My Dad, Leslie Christians, is the son of David. Johnnie or as I called him, my Uncle Jack from Mt. Morris IL. died quite a while ago as did his brother Ed of Avon. Jack has a son Daryl and a daughter Cheryl who have both moved as of now....I can find out where though. As for Ed's children I can also find out where they are as my Mother and Dad could tell me since they keep in touch with everyone in Avon, S. D. I think half the town is my relation...LOL

I need to update my information. Peter Eden's wife Hebeka
Hinrinkus Gabbrants/Gabrands wasn't born in Visguard as I thought. Hilda, our genealogist, says Hebe was born in Hamswehrum, Ostfriesland Germany. She also found the Christians in Rysum, as I did. Perhaps son, John was born in Emden as Family History dictates, but we do know Peter worked for a farmer...I haven't heard that the family traveled around looking for work...though it is possible, I still think John was born near Rysum. German's are stubborn.

Responding to your post - My husband's maternal great grandfather was John Peter Christians - born 12/5/1870 in Emden Ostfriesland Germany. He died 1/22/1954 in Iowa.
He married Christina Friedricka Emmenpa who was also from Emden Ostriesland.

My wife, Sherry (Christians), hails from Metamora, IL. Her father Gary Christians (with brother Steve) is the son of Henry Christians (d. 1970, aged 56?) who grew up around Paxton, IL. I've only traced the lineage back this far; I just started looking into this, so more details to follow.

I have a Christian a Uecker in my family tree that married sister of my GGGrandma Florentirea Schlosser. Maria married Charles Christians B. 4 Nov 1844 Prussia. They had son Otto Christians. Also in Schlosser family was Ferdinand Louise(Kuntz).

I also have Christians on my family tree. William J Christians married my great-great aunt Sophia Dorothea Kruger. They had a son named Charles H. Christians. Also, Otto Christians married married another great-great aunt named Bertha Huebner. I don't much more info. on the Christians. Both these families lived in Northern Iowa.

Yes, My husband's grandmother is Emma Neuberger - her husband was William (Bill) who died 2 years ago. My husband's father is David M.Neuberger. Bill and Emma had 10 children:
Marie,Bill,David,Margaret,Marna(Peg),Marsha, Marlys, and 3 others, I can't think of their names right now.

Hello,

Family history tells of a Count Jean de Christains, a protestant from Geneva Switzerland, and a Captain of the Swiss Guard in Paris before and during the French revolution. He was later an officer in the French army under Napoleon and imprisoned for six months by Napoleon because he was a royalist. He escaped with his wife Suset Brudit de Christains (also of Geneva) and his familiy to the United States via Belgium. They arrived in the United States in 1803 and eventually moved to Pittsburgh, Cinncinatti, Louisville and Jeffersonville Indiana.

This isn;t one of my Christians lines but the Minnesota Historical Society - www.mnhs.org - has an online death certificate index listing an Edward Christians, born 10/20/1871 and died in Nobles County, MN on 11/7/1955. I'm not sure if he's yours but it might be worth checking.
