Hello :) I am looking for any info, or a direction to search, for info re: Nicholas Christman (son of Hans Christman and Maria Elizabeth Feller) and his wife Susanna. I am particularly interested in Susanna as there is nothing I can find on her anywhere. One location suggested that she was likely Native American. Thank you in advance!

~Amanda
Please email me at araronhalt@gmail.com

That Irene is my grandmother. I believe she was born in Brooklyn, and she is still alive. As for the ancestors, I have a little more detail.

Irene's father grandfather, Albert Christman Sr., was born in 1865 and died 1922. His wife Mary was born in 1881 and died in 1966. Albert and Mary had at least two children, Henry, who was Irene's father, and Albert Jr. who was born in 1904 and died in 1959.

I'm looking for information on the surname Christman. My grandmother is Irene Rose Christman (b. 1939) who married Edward Anthony Marciano. Her father was Henry Christman and her mother was Anne Logan. I believe that Henry's parents were Albert Christman and Mary Weinberg. I do know Irene had the following siblings:

Albert, Anthony, Connie, Gerard, Lisa, and Marguerite.

Unfortunately I do not have much more information than this and was hoping someone could help me. Any information would be appreciated.

Yes I can get this to you, My email is scmfstewart@msn.com It's a transcribed Marriage Doc as Wabash county could not photocopy it was too old to do soand also Apparently its in a big huge book that it could not be put on a copier so she took all the info and sent it to me on a letter head. I also have a Obit of my Martha Emaline King-Stewart thats states Joe and Martha King as parents. Don't know much about them but the parents Martha died and Joe remarried after she died. Huntington Co would be a place to trace this Martha "Patsy" Christman-King down. More is there I am sure. I live in Oregon and can't get to the Indiana Room with out a volunteer, if you live near there would love to find out more on the Kings and Martha at least resting place for her and Parents. We will be in touch. Thanks for resonding to this old post!

Scott

Re: Beulah Christman

I was just recently helping a descendant of one of Beulah's sons. Beulah M. Christman was born Feb 1897 in East Texas, Lehigh Co., PA, a daughter of John E. Christman and Elizabeth V. Christman (2nd cousins who married). The father of her twins was Leroy Evan Sell, born 11 Oct 1897 also in East Texas, the son of William Pat Sell and Jennie M. Vogenitz. One of Beulah's sons was named William Sell Christman which was later changed after he was adopted. Since William was Leroy Sell's father's name, possibly the other child was named John Sell Christman after Beulah's father John. Their birthdate was 13 Jun 1919 at the Allentown Hospital and they were put in the Topton Orphanage (now the Lutheran Home At Topton). That is where "William" was adopted from. He told his granddaughter that he often had people approaching him as if they recognized him although he had never met them. One thought he was his chiropractor. Possibly the other twin became a chiropractor?
Sorry, I have no other information on them except that "William" is 92 years of age.

I am a decendent of Ulysses R. Christman. He was my grandfather. My father was Ral Christman the youngest son of Ulysses & Ramona. Ulysses & Ramona had four children Homer, then Guy & twins Ral and Trinity. Trinity died shortly after birth. My grandmother died a month after Trinity. I have one brother and three sisters. I am next to the youngest. I corresponded with a first cousin (I can't remember his name). He lived in Ramona Ca. He was a child between Ulysses & a woman with the maiden name of Slaughter. I believe out of Poway, Ca.We never did meet face to face but wrote for a few years. His sister wrote to me of his passing. I was sad that I was unable to go to his grave & show my respect. I would very much like to continue this discussion further if you please

I am searching for the parents of Mae L. Christman, b. abt 1878. The story in our family is that her family came from the Spring City area. Some researchers have her listed as possibly being from the union of Addison Christman and Caroline Neidig, but I can't find evidence of this in any records. Mae went on to marry Davis Keeley and settle in the Coventry area. If you have any information for me I'd appreciate it!
Thank you,
Tonya Fisher

Hi,thanks for responding. I have only 1 photo of a family portrait taken in the early 1900s. Everett,Floyd,Emma,Austin & Esther Christman taken with their parents Ida & Byron.

Emma Christman(my grandma) and Leonard Cooper had a son Richard Ernest Cooper born 4/6/26 died 6/3/90. Richard married my mother Dora Wheeler 1949 and had 1 son David B. Cooper (me) 3/29/54. Mom and dad were divorced in 1961.
I never had any opportunity to meet cousins, Aunts/Uncles
Hope to hear back from you. Thanks again for your reply.

Aunt Esther Bissett and her husband Fred had 1 daughter Janet Bissett Lashway(never met her but know she lives in the Poughkeepsie NY region.

Aunt Esther/Uncle Austin always told me we were descendants of the Dutch? Would like to trace back to pre-America.

Take care!
