For some reason I cannot find her information: DOB, her parents, her DOD. I can follow Asa quite well on census records. I then have a GG Grandfather-Josiah Reeder's (1823-1891)daughter, Lucy Geraldine Reeder (1850-1923) marrying John Francis Chubbuck(1837-1907). Lucy and John Francis have 15 children .I am sure you have all that information on your site. It will be most interesting to see what you have

Lisa, Your Fred was the son of Erastus S. Atherton, who was the son of Rodolphus Atherton. Fred was born in 1872; Erastus was born in 1835/36; Rodolphus was born in 1806. If he was Fred's father, he would have been in his early 70's. Ray

Hello. My name is Lisa Atherton Whitaker. I think I know where Alice, Thomas, and Rodolphus are buried. They are my ancestors too. My father was Frederick Atherton whose father was Ernest Atherton whose father was Fred Atherton whose father was Rodolphus.

Rodolphus is buried in Groveton (Northumberland), NH with his wife Mary Rich Atherton (I believe she was his second wife - do you know who his first wife was?) Thomas and Alice are buried in Columbia, NH. Mary was much younger than Rodolphus and cannot be the mother of Fred.

Three children, who died at the age of 8 or younger, are mentioned on the gravestone of Mary and Rodolphus, but the actual gravestones of the children are with Thomas and Alice.

I've attached pictures of the gravestones of Alice, Thomas and Rodolphus, but the gravestones of Alice and Thomas were taken wet so they didn't come out well.

Not related to Ephraim Chubbuck or Abigail Nye so can't help you on death date for Abigail Nye but believe you have the wrong parents listed for her.

The Abigail Nye who married Ephraim Chubbuck was from Wareham, MA who was born on 12 Feb. 1775 at Wareham, MA to David and Desire Nye. See Wareham birth list at http://www.warehamhistory.com/WarehamGenWeb/BD.htm . For Wareham marriage record of their marriage see
http://www.warehamhistory.com/WarehamGenWeb/WrhmVR.htm .

Hope this helps.
Halsie Chubbuck

Who were Halsie Chubbuck's parents? He was born 14 May 1899 and was living in Prentiss Plantation at the time of his WWI draft registration, 12 Sep 1918. He married Inez Ireland 25 Sep 1921 in Springfield, ME, and d. 8 Dec 1985 in Bangor, age 86. See their son's obit, below.

I cannot find Halsie in the 1900, 1910 or 1920 censusus. The closest I can come is Elsie D., b May 1899 in Kingman Township, Penobscot, ME, d/o Harvey and Blanche Chubbuck. I wonder if this might be an error of the census enumerator, and that this is really Halsie. He was listed as "Halsie A" in most places, but as "Halsie D." on his death record.

Hoping someone can help me out.

David James
Rye, NH

RICHARD R. CHUBBUCK SR.
Monday, September 24, 2007 - Bangor Daily News

BRADLEY - Richard R. Chubbuck Sr., 64, died Sept. 22, 2007, at a Bangor nursing home.
This message is so old, you may have this info, but I see a John Frost and Mary family in the 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 Census sheets for Eliot, York, Maine. He was listed as a house carpenter. Could this be your people?

Chubbucks of Madison County, NY

There are several Chubbucks in the mid 1800s in Madison County, NY, Melville (sometimes Melvelle and Melvin) Chubbuck is listed in the 1850 census - like this -

John Wales 38 Carriage Maker Mass
Mary A. Wales 32 NY
Melvelle Chubbuck 9 NY
Alice Chubbuck 4 NY
V H Wales 5 5 NY
Mary E. Wales 1 NY

Mary A. Wales - (born abt 1818) maiden name I'm told is Fleming - it appears she was married to a Chubbuck - of a similar generation - who passed away

By this Chubbuck - she had Melvelle abt 1841 and Alice abt 1835

Melville - married Mary West, she was born Dec 26, 1845 the daughter of Charles and Orinda Burdwin West -

Melville - is said to have died 29 July 1891 near Camp Capitrea, in Santa Cruz Co, CA.

I would like to learn the father of Melville and connect him, if possible to the other Chubbucks in Madison County, NY at that time - or any other family. THANKS, Mark 4rmb@att.net
I am a Massachusetts Chubbuck in search of my sister whom I've never met. Unfortunately I have had very little luck. Perhaps I may need more information, however I do know that my father James R. Chubbuck was born in Easton,MA. in 1955 he married then divorced my mother Janet. He then had my sister with a woman named Debra whether or not they married I'm unsure. Maybe there is some sort of relation here to possibly point me in the right direction, perhaps I may even find some other relatives I never got to know. David A. Chubbuck
