to James Edwards. Her maiden name was Dutton and she was born Jan 1846 in Ohio. She had a daughter with James Edwards - Rosella - who married

Searching for any connections or info on Ann Chudleigh of Newton Abbott who married William Pascoe born 1801 Falmouth Cornwall. William moved to Newton Abbot Devon and was a Innkeeper.
Wife Ann Chudleigh. Children Thomas Pallington, MaryAnn,
William Pascoe, Louisa Pascoe(my greatgrandmother),elizabth Pascoe.

Amelia Chudleigh appears not to have married William O'Neill following the death of her first husband Samuel Rosewarne. There are four children born to Amelia and William - William (b 1861 - ??), Michael (23 May 1871 - 13 Dec 1872), Esther Charlotte (1874 - 16 May 1940) and Chudley (18 Feb 1875 - 20 Feb 1875). All listed under O'Neill, all registered at Hartley.

I've been told that Philip Dolzert/Dozert, Amelia and family emirated to New Zealand, possibly the Taranaki area, but I haven't the resources to pursue this.

Hi Tania, I am related to the Amelia Rachel Chudleigh you are looking for, your message is old, but answering on the off chance. I can not find her married to a William O'Neill, but I did find a marriage for her as Amelia Rachel Rosewarne(I am descendant from the Rosewarnes)to Phillip Jacob Dolzert in 1876 - no children from this marriage.

Would one of the Chudleigh descendants be Charlotte Ann? Her parents William and Mary?
I don't know much about my Chudleigh ancestors so if you can let me know. Charlotte was born in Newton, Devonshire, England.

Hi,
I am looking for more onfo on Charlotte Chudleigh who was born 1824 in Newton, Devonshire, England. She married John William Middleton and they migrated to Australia in 1854. I believe her parents could have been William and Mary. She died in Australia in 1881.
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated as I don't know anything about the Chudleighs. Her husband William is my ancestor (my father is a Middleton).

Hi there,
Has anyone come across Amelia Rachel Chudleigh in their research??
She was born 12 Feb 1841, Prince Edward Island, Canada, moved to NSW, Australia around 1859 & married Samuel Rosewarne in Nov 1859. They had six children, before Samuel died approximately 1867. She then married William O'Neil, and four further children.
I am try in find any relations to her, and especially who her parents were, and would appreciate any infomation.

I have a Charlotte Chudley baptised Feb 13 1825, Hatherleigh, Devon, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth, could she be yours? The surname in Hatherleigh varies between Chudleigh, Chudley, Chidleigh and Chidley.

Many thanx for your message...I would love to talk to Valerie about the Chudleigh/Middleton history. Unfortunately I don't have much on Charlotte's history yet...I have just started investigating her. John and Charlotte would be my great-great grandparents (I am a Middleton). Where does Valerie live?

A friend of mine, Valerie Johnson (Smith), is a descendant of Charlotte A. Chudleigh and she has information she could share with you about the family from the time of Charlotte's marriage to John Middleton until the present day.

However, Valerie is also interested in information about Charlotte's ancestry. Could you help?

Thanks for your reply. Am certain that Charlotte's parents were William and Mary, so I think she must be a different family. Still could be related though, I don't know much about William's family....

The Chudleigh's I have were born around 1770..with Thomas Stepney born 1771 he married Anne Kellett 1795 in Cork, Ireland..unfortunately have not found any of their descendants, but there may be a connection as Thomas Stepney Chudleigh was born in Stoke Dameral, Devon..he had a sister Catherine and brother Stawell..There may still be a connection..
