DNA, anyone?
I've been reading into the early origins of the major Church families in the colonies, and notice most of us have apocryphal histories that connect the major patriarchs together - with no documentary support. Why don't a few of us from each male line try out the DNA test and see if we can figure out if it's all one big Church nation?
I come from Richard Church 1608-1668 of Plymouth's line through his son Caleb. Off the top of my head, the other Church families dating to the colonies come from Richard Church of Hartford, Garrett Church of Watertown, Yankee John Church, and possibly more than one David Church. We should have at least one direct male descendant of each line test, and even better get some of the UK Churchs to jump in. Anyone interested?
