I KNOW THIS IS AN OLD POST BUT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT GREMILLIONS YOU ARE KIN TO. I CAME FROM DEWEY J. GREMILLION, OCTAVE LUKGER GREMILLIION, LUDGER GREMILLION, FRANCIS OCTAVE , VALERIAN, FRANCIS LOUIS, TOUSSANT , AND JULIEN, ALL THE WAY BACK TO FRANCE. LOUIS GREMILLION WAS THE 1ST ONE FROM FRANCE THAT WAS BORN IN 1714-1795 THAT MARRIED MARIE JOSEPH ROBILLARD IN 1747 IN ST CHARLES PARISH AND THEN MOVED TO POINTE COUPEE. WRITE ME AND WE CAN SEE HOW WE ARE KIN.I HAVE INFO YOU MIGHT CAN USE.

Hello, my name is Carmen Chustz Lagemann. I am the daughter of Roy Emitte Chustz. My family is from New Rhoades, Louisiana. My Father has passed away, however I have numerous cousins residing in Baton Rouge, LA. My Grandfather was Norbert A Chustz and was married to my grandmother Leona Decuir. I am also trying to start a family tree. I am very interested in knowing where the chustz family came from and any information pertaining to our family. Does any one have updates? Hello, I was checking out your family tree and you have a lot of nice pictures of the family. I am guessing the document is your mom & dad's marriage license. A copy of your grandma and grandpa's marriage license would be nice there too, since you have the pictures. Keep up the good work and I know it's a job getting everything together. I had forgot about Herman's picture. It was nice just to see them all again. God Bless.

Does anyone have any information on Ferdinand (sometimes Ferdius/Fadius b. 1856) and Eudolie Gremillion (b. 1864)? Ferdinand's parents were Maurille Gremillion and Cecilia Gaspard. Eudolie's parents are Francois Gremillion and Eugenie Dufour. I'm looking to try to find any birth records.

I am looking for lattie or latty Chustz born several years after joseph wade chust b;1905 and is his younger brother. thier parents are joseph wade chustz and nora dedon mix . there are three joseph wade chustz in a row . the grand father is armond chustz b:1865 , d1934 josephine chustz b1862 d:1930 all in new roads. I have been told uncle lattie is alive and lives around erwinville with his fly. grand son name Mike . thanks a lot nlchustz

If you go to the Baton Rouge Archives....there is a couple of books published by WILLIAM NELSON GREMILLION, SR.
One of the Books is SOME EARLY FAMILIES OF AVOYELLES PARISH, LOUISIANA., Herbert Publications pobox 31,Eunice , La 70535..Or you could call the Avoyelles Parrish Library and they can loan one to your local library for you to use for a couple of weeks..the books are not in publication anymore and the writer was in Texas last I heard... the Gremillion family in this book started with Louis Gremilllion
1st to immigrate to Louisiana from Courcival France..Born around 1714
and gives details of the family in Pointe Coupee and Avoyelles Parish , La..All the orginal families are in this book ....happy hunting

The grandmother you are talking about is Leontine Chustz, Married to Ferninand Chustz. They have six children all living. Both of them are deceased. I am one of the grandchildren. They lived in Erwinville, la and worked a dairy farm.

I did go the last reunion. It was quite awhile ago. However, he has my family a little confused. My father was Malcolm Fugler and he had 12 children. His father was Jesse Fugler married to Yetta Chustz and his brother Uncle Alton had the station/restaurant outside of Marshall.

Margie, just received your email and my grandfather, Erwin, was your great uncle. His sisters were Evelyn and Yetta. I called my Dad, Thomas Jr., and he said that you were probably at the Family Reunion we had in Pflugerville some years ago and you are from a family of 13? Julie, I am the granddaughter of Yetta Chustz Fugler. I do not know many of my cousins from south Louisiana, but have met most of my great aunts and uncles while they were alive. My grandmother passed away around '81 her sister Evelyn Pease just recently passed away within the last year.

My grandmother was from New Roads, LA. and her name was Yetta Mary Chustz Fugler. She married Samual Jesse Fugler In the early 20's. We still have many relatives in the area. I live in Shreveport, LA.

I am really not sure of all of the family in New Roads, but I do remember a brother of her named Ferd. To help me out, I sent a message to my Aunt who is her daughter to make sure I have the spelling correct and give me a little more family information. I am not totally sure of much, because she has been deceased since 1981. I am sure that her origin was New Roads,LA and I have been there to visit since her death. I will however, follow this message up when I get a reply from my Aunt.

I received a message from my Aunt and here is the scoop on my family in South Louisiana.
My Grandmother was raised in Erwinville not in New Roads. She has many nieces and nephews in the area of Baton Rouge, Port Allen and Erwinville. The name is spelled the same as yours as I thought and they still carry that name in the directory. My grandmother has one living sister in Austin, Evelyn Chustz Pease and one living brother in Lockhart, Texas by the name of Thomas Erwin Chustz. My Aunt says that my cousin Lois Keller has a copy of the family tree and she is hoping to get a copy of it on her next visit to Austin. I hope that I can help you in the future when I can possibly provide you with more information. Please check the phone books in the area in and around the Baton Rouge, Port Allen, and Erwinville area and I think you may be pleasantly surprised to find some new family members. Traci,Uncle Rex's mother Alice (Henry) spelled our name "Shutts." Clarence (Babe) Rex's half brother also spelled our name "Shutts." Aunt Lena, Rex's sister married a man named Jack Snyder. She and her family lived in Kingsley, Michigan. Prior to her marriage to Jack, she also spelled our last name differently or so I am told. I've sent off for her application of when she applied to get her Soc. Sec. #. Hopefully it will give us some more information.

hi, this is sherry. would you believe i just found your message that you wrote me on "ancestry.com over a year ago. my sister nancy told me that you had contacted me at one time but i couldn't place your name or the message that you sent me. i am so sorry to hear about uncle rex. he was a really good man and uncle to us 3 girls. and he was so much like our dad in his mannerisms. all the siblings had a pretty rough life growing up. how did you find out about the spelling of "chustz?" i've looked and looked and it seems i don't get anywhere. i use a web tv system and it doesn't pull up as much info as a regular computer does. if you can research any deeper or can give me some hints/ideas, i'd really appreciate it. maybe we can all meet sometime this summer. ----sincerely sherry
