Hi, My name is Daniel Cid. My grandfather was Antonio Cid and he was born I think the date you have listed. Not only that but my Grandmother was born shortly after that and Is still alive and lives in the house Antonio Cid built for her family. My grandfather Antonio had six children with my grandmother (his second wife) and I am the son of his youngest child. Antonio is still one of our family names that is shared as a middle name for my brother, 2 cousins and 1 uncle. I'm amazed on how much you know about the Cid family in the Virgin Islands.

I think they used two last names in those days. The mothers first then the Fathers last. So it would look like this . Francisco Ramona Cid but from the Dominican Republic.. Just a short boat ride away.

Hi, i realized we might berelated because my father was born in Zacatecas, Mexico. by the way, i live in queretaro, mexico but most of my dad´s family still lives back in zacatecas. the thing here is that i´ve never asked my grandpa about his family, and i won´t see him probably untill summer. we are a very large family, i have 14 aunts and uncles, and my grandfather had around 12 brothers and sisters, he´s name is rafael cid and was born in 1921. My greatgrandfather was feliciano cid and probably was born in the very early 1900´s or the ends of 1890´s. there are many other cid families on the towns near-by my dad´s, so if you really want to find your ancestors is gonna be kind of difficult. i hope this will provide you with some information. oh, the name of the town my dad´s was born is: Morelos, Zacatecas, Mexico. good luck

I am also searching for the Cid family. My Grandfather, Alexander Cid came to NY from Cuba. He went under the name John Diaz. We believe he was married in Cuba and definately has a son he named after himself, Alexander Cid. He married again to a woman named Connie in NY and had 2 children, Louise and "Johnny Boy". He further went on to marry my Grandmother, Josephine Porcarelli. They had 3 children, Marie, Elaine and Rita.

Sound familar? If so, please contact me. We would love to meet our family.
