I don't know if anyone is still reading this message board considering that the last entry seems to have been back in 2007. But I thought I would try to add something that may (hopefully) be of value. My grandparents came from Campolattaro. My grandfather, Angeloantonio Focareta, arrived at Ellis Island on May 31,1893 aboard the SS Chateau Lafite which had departed from Naples (departure date unk). Also on board from his hometown was Georgio Cifildi. Both were bound for Dillonvale Ohio.
My grandmother, Filomina Casaccia, arrived at Ellis Island on March 13, 1900 aboard the SS Victoria. Also on board from Campolattaro were her younger brother Antonio, an Agelo Di Musi and Angelo Cifildi. Unmarried women were not permitted to leave Ellis Island unless accompanied by a male relative. Presumably this is why the manifest indicates that Filomina (who was traveling to Dillonvale to go Georigo's residence) was traveling with the brother of her brother-in-law (since her sister had married Georgio).
