I am hoping someone out there can help me out. I have been researching my ex husbands ancestors for the last 8 months. I have come up with a JOHN FRANCISCO SISCO born 1724 born in NEW JERSEY who has a son named JACOB born 1769 in NEW JERSEY. Now I have gone to another site, I also come up with a JOHN SISCO born 1725 in VA. He also has a son by the name of JACOB born 1769 but in another state. Now both of these JACOBS are married to REBECCA SHIPMAN. My question is ~is JOHN FRANCISCO & JOHN SISCO the same person & the same with both of these JACOBS. You can contact me at: sjean55s@aol.com
Your help would be appreciated.

SARAH CISCO

Looking for information regarding Sarah Cisco 1852-1931. Born in Ontario, Canada died in Alliance, Ohio. She was "supposedly" of the Blackfeet Tribe in Canada. Married to William H. Cisco 1854-1932. Her fathers name was William Barton,(he was born in Maryland) I am assuming he was a slave based on time and location. I can find NOTHING that list her mothers name, nor can I ascertain her maiden name. Death certificates from her children say, Hartley or Cox. Please see tree for the children and some grandchildren for what I have thus far.

He is a major figure in my true crime story about the murder of Stella Kinney near Olive Hill, Kentucky on May 2, 1915. Lydia

Daughter of John who supposedly shortened name to Cisco. She was born 17 Jan 1826 and died 13 May 1886. Maried Daniel H Swingle on 25 Dec 1846. She was born I think in Clarks Green (Luzerne) PA. There are quite a few CISCOs still living in NE PA from what I saw when I was there in 2007. I have been doing other lines and am just now working on this line. I do have photos of Sarah and her mother and I will be posting them into my ancestry.com site in the next few weeks. School is almost out so I can play in the family tree for awhile.

I'm not sure if you have this information already, but Allan N. Cisco (1866-1955) & his wife Sarah C. Cisco (1872-1967) are buried in Section 9 at Ashland Cemetery. Their graves are next to those of Allan's parents, Hiram F. Cisco (1843-1925) & Sally A. Cisco (1848-1939). In addition, there is a good article about Judge Cisco's background in the 8/3/1911 edition of the Licking Valley Courier. You may have already done this, but I would suggest looking in the Ashland Daily Independent or some other local papers for Judge Cisco's obituary. An individual of his fame would most likely have a pretty detailed account of his life, as well as his whereabouts during the time period of your interest.

Hi Nancy,

My line of Cisco came from NY. The only information that I have is that my Grandfather John J. Cisco was born in 1913. He married my Grandmother Helen Cox and they had 2 children, John T. Cisco b: 1939 and Gloria Cisco not sure of her year of birth. My grandfather and Grandmother divorced and my grandfather married a lady by the name of Antoinette. I believe they had 2 children a John D. Cisco and a Robert L. Cisco. My grandfather died in March of 1994. I am getting stumped also at every turn. My son has a fimly tree project that he is doing for school and I don't know anything about my father's side of the family. I am also doing this because i lost my father 7 weeks ago and I want to be able to pass information on to my children and eventually their children. If you by any chance have any information I would greatly appreciate it.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Michelle Cisco Trimble
Nathaniel F. Cisco family

Nathaniel F. Cisco, born about 1794 in New Jersey
wife: Frances (Fanny) (?) born 1806-1810 in MD, died 1863, buried Louisa County, Iowa

Children:
William Cisco, born 1833 in Ohio
Martin Cisco, born 1831 in Ohio
James A. Cisco, born 1835 in Ohio
Maria/Mariah Cisco, born 1837 in Ohio
John Cisco, born 1839 in Ohio
Aaron Cisco, born 1819 in Ohio (could Aaron be from a first wife?)

This family moved to Iowa in or before 1846. Nathaniel and Franny died in Iowa.

I believe William and Aaron both went west to Washington and Oregon. James and Martin may have went into the service. There is a record of a Mariah Cisco getting married to Thomas G. Thonton in 1869, Louisa County, Iowa.

If anyone has information about this family or connections to this family, please respond.

Seeking information on William Wesley Cisco, born 15 Feb 1833 in Ohio. William lived in Washington as an adult and was married to Nancy Jane (possibly Stephens). Nancy Jane was born 15 Dec 1838, possibly in Indiana.
William and Nancy had at least two children:
William Cisco (b. Oct 1858 Oregon)
and
Eugene Cisco (b. Aug 1863 Washington or Oregon)
William and Nancy later moved to Idaho and they both died in Kootenai county, Idaho.
I am descended from Eugene.
