I am Stephen, son of Irving and Phyllis citron of California, my Grandparents were Celia, and Harry Citron of Los Angeles. They changed thier names from Garsloko Citronovich, and Celia Krywoshewshy. They immigrated in the early 1900's, and lived in Los Angeles. They had three children, Max, Anne, and Irving. I have 2 brothers, David, and Robert, as well as two sisters, Linda and Lisa.

For THIS Henry Citron (who is the brother of my gg grandma Adolphine Citron (married name is Servais) the title of this thread should read Citron in Kansas. Oscar was his son. They escorted Adolphine from Belgium. They lived in Missouri too, but married in Kansas. I have a photo of a house that I believe belonged to him Please email me at TeresaServais@sbcglobal.net

nearly a decade past since you made your query about your In-Laws from Citron family. They are likely to be my relatives. My grandfather's name was Pinchas Citron, who was born in Chenchin and moved to Kielce, where he married my grandmother from Kohan family. My Grandmother was Francine or Frances Citron and she lived in New York her entire life until passing away around 2000 at the age of about 90.

Marjory,the CITRON connections stem from Lithuania but
I have to cheque these families. I know there were several
CITRONS in Dublin and I was notified by different families.
For sure in Manchester there are Citrons, and my search
was for people who had changed their name to Casson or
Carton.
My grandmother and her sisters surname previous to marriage was Berchansky. They arrived from Jonava to Leeds
(mid 1880's).Freda (Fanny) Berchansky married Maurice
Citron.

Frank Citron, 65, a dishwasher at the Peoples Cafe, Rock Island, was found dead yesterday afternoon in his room at the Como Hotel, Rock Island.
Corner Leslie H. Banning said theman, who reportedly had been ill for several weeks, apparently died of a heart attach several days ago.
The funeral will be at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon in Hodgson Funeral Home, the Rev. Fred J. Rolfe, Rock Island, will officiate. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Rock Island.

Thanks for your response. It gives me a few more clues to follow since I now have your Morris Citron and my Isaac Tremblatt/Citronblatt/Citron who are both possibly from around the Kovno, Lithuania area since both their wives are from Jonova. Both emigrated to Dublin and then they, or descendants, to Manchester, England. The age difference is about 10 years? Hopefully there will be some link. I'll keep working on it. Keep me informed and I'll do likewise

Looking for Joseph Citron, b. about 1891 in CA; m. Dorothy Silberberg. Lived in Los Angeles, on 1920 and 1930 censuses there. Three children: Richard, Ruth, and Joseph.

Joseph's father was b. in Russia. Dorothy's father, Otto Silberberg, was also from Russia. Dorothy's mother was probably Rebecca Birnbaum. Dorothy's brother, Mendel Silberberg, was a prominent lawyer in Los Angeles, but appears to have not been married.

Searching Citron family of Rachel Waldstein and Isaac Tremblatt. Rachel was from Jonova, Lithuania. They were Citronblatts in Russia but changed name to Citron when the emigrate to Dublin and then moved to Manchester, England. Became Tremblatts when the moved to USA c. 1900

My husband's family uses all three spellings, Citron, Cytryn, and Citrin. Two Citron's married each other. My mother-in-law's family was from Kielce. They used either Citrin or Cytryn. On my father-in-law's side, they came from a tiny town outside of Kielce, called Checiny, sometimes pronounced, Chenchin. That side normally used the spelling, Citron.
