There are Clagg Family Reunions across the USA. Most are in Virgina, Oklahoma & IL. There are a lot of Claggs. Look in the census records for your dad's name. Best of luck. If I find anything I will let you know.

my biological grandfather is named marvin clagg. he divorced my grandmother gloria bell in 1968 under the divorce record it says that he was born in 33. I know that he went to prison and was released when I was in high school he was not allowed to have contact with me. I think he is in clovis Ca, I have not heard anything about him in ages. It might be?

Gilbert Clagg was my great great grandfather. He was briefly married to Flora D. Adkins and they had a son Cecil. Gilbert and Flora divorced when Cecil was small and Cecil only saw Gilbert once. I'm looking for info on William Cantebury who married Transylvania Clagg, and their families.

The info I have so far:

Transylvania is the d/o Andrew & Lavina
--Andrew is the s/o James & Elizabeth
----James is the s/o of Alexander & Susannah

Alternative names for Transylvania : Frances, T., Francis, Transylvanis, Transylvanie // Clagg, Clegg

Alternative names for Cantebury : Canteberry, Canterberry, Canterbury

Transylvania's siblings may have been: Mary Margaret, Virmadew, Vermanda, Monticu, Montene, Serena, Andrew Jr, Joanna (or Johanna), Susan E., Syras, Andre, Irama, Chester, Lavina J

Will and Transylvania's children might have been: Albert C., Einora (or Nora / Norie), Bertha, Alvireta

But Nora is the only one I am certain of. I was told by family that Transylvania was Will's second wife. And that they thought he had 5 other children.

Nora Canteberry married Fred McBride.

I've also been told that Transylvania may have been part Native American.

If anyone can confirm, correct, or add to any of the information, I would very much appreciate it.

Also, if anyone has any info on Will Cantebury's family, or Fred McBride's family, that would be great too.

I am trying to put together a family history book for my grandmother. So if anyone has any family stories, photos, etc, etc, I would also like to receive any of that stuff via email or I can send you my mailing address.

Clagg brothers of mine

My father Daniel Clagg born 17 or 18 Sept 1924 in Prichard? Wayne Co., WV...he was multi married...my mother was wife #5. Daniel is the youngest son of Willard Clagg (b 1880 Mason Co., WV) & Stella Mariah Bench.(b. 1889 Gaps Mill, Wayne Co., WV)

I know one wife was named Eva she had 2 sons by my father Lloyd b. abt 1947 and d. abt 1960 of a gunshot wound I believe in Huntington, WV...other son was Donald b. abt 1949.

Another spouse was Shirley Ellis they were married around 1953 and divorced around same time...they have 1 child together I beieve a son named Bradley ... I have an insurance document for a Bradley age 8 mo being admitted to the hospital in Logan, WV in Oct 1954.

Daniel had at least 2 other wives that I don't have names for...he hooked up with my mother about 1958 in Toledo OH.

Daniel worked for the Railroad for part of his life...he was also in the Army and Marines in WWII. He served in England...might be some kids there too...

I'm looking for any information on the marriages and trying to find any siblings of mine...my group is having a family reunion in TN this year over the 4th of July and want as many of us there as possible...we want to have a relationship with our 1/2 siblings.
