Am searching for information relating to John Clanton. I believe he was born in Virginia abt. 1790 and later relocated to Iredale Co. in North Carolina where he fathered by great-great grandfather "Jo" Ellis Clanton in 1815. Additionally, I have yet to find specific information as to who the mother of Ellis might be, Nancy/Sarah?
