I am searching for the birth parents of Dorothea Ethel Clarke who was born in 1906 (don't know where), it is believed that her mother died in childbirth (not sure if it was when she was birthing Dorothea or another child) and her father committed suicide shortly after. Dorothea E married Francis E Gower in the 1930s and her father was named as Thomas William Conington (whom I can find no records for at all in this country) and his occupation was Barrister. She was married as Dorothea Ethel Clarke aged 30 as a widow (not sure if she was married previously as I can find no marriage between Clarke and a lady called Dorothea E. I know she had a daughter prior to her marriage to Francis called Edwina. Any help with tracing an adoption or info on this lady would be great
