In researching elsewhere I found a Mike Knott (Ancestry User KnottMike) on the Ancestry Knott Family Board who has apparently done extensive background research on the St Mary's Co Catholics in MD who went to KY, where most of them came from in England, others joined them from Tidewater area of VA, why they left and went to KY, etc. I would suggest if you have not found him already that you might want to check out more detail on what and how he knows what he does.
