I don't get it - my post was deleted and your post shows up twice. My original post included some of the following:

Seeking info on Evert Clearwater who shows up in the 1830 Cayuga County, NY census with a wife and four daughters. He is buried in the Oswaco Rural Cemetery. Died 28 Jan 1839 aged 81. I am looking for descendants/relatives. He originally came from Ulster County. He married Catrine Terwilliger on 30 Aug 1792 in Ulster County. Their first two children were Elizabeth and Zacharias born 11 Mar 1793 and 19 Feb 1796 respectively. They were baptized in the Reformed Dutch Church in Shawangunk, Ulster County. The family moved to Cayuga County after 1810 and before 1830.

Pam,
All of the New York Clearwaters descend from Teunis. Teunis arrived from Holland in June 1656. The land grant you mentioned was not granted until 1710. Teunis and his oldest son Jacob were two of the seven men included in the "Company" that received the grant. 4000 acres divided among the seven. The Shawangunk Dutch Reformed Church above mentioned is located within the grant.

Happy New Year to all.
