Stray Notice
State of Missouri, county of Cole
We the undersigned appraisers, appointed & duly sworn to appraise .... a certain stray horse, taken up by Wm. L. BROOKSHIRE as a stray, and brought before J. F. ROYSTON Esquire, a justice of the peace for the township of Jefferson countyy of Cole, do certify that we have viewed the said stray and find him to be a sorrel horse, ..... appraised to thirty dollars. We the undersigned appraisers appointed and duly sworn to appraise without partiality, ..... a certain horse beast taken up by Benjamin WEBB as a stray, and brought before me J. F. ROYSTON Esquire, a justice of the peace for Jefferson township, county of Cole, do certify that we have viewed the said stray and find it to be a dark chestnut sorrel mare, ..... appraised to thirty dollars.
