Walter Ewell Clendening was married to Annie Mae Taylor which died in the late 1940's of cancer. They had 3 daughters, Elizabeth lived about 2 years, one infant girl was still born, and their only living child was Doris Florene Clendening b. 7-21-1927 Bruceville TX
d. 1-15-1993 Woodway/Waco TX

Doris married Harper Forest Patton in November 1947 and they had two daughters.

Walter Ewell (Shug) married Velma Kathleen Turner McGregor Clendening after Annie Mae's death. Mr. McGregor was killed in a car accident. Kathleen as she was referred to had one son John Howard McGregor.
