Jerry,
The email did not work.
It was Phillip Clerc who send me the book done by his daughter. Do you
have that? I have pictures that he took of the house in New Iberia, of
the Barcelonnette area when he went in search of the Jaubert house,
his account of that. I may also have pictures, one in his house of Bon
Papa's (Charles) desk. The Gondolfo name was part of my childhood but
never could keep all the relations straight.
I am going day after tomorrow, at 4AM to glacier national park for
nine days. Don't have any time before. Will get back to you after I
return. Let me know what you have. The book takes the Clerc's back to
Switzerland with a picture of the family home site overlooking Lake
Geneva as I remember it. Phillip was a wonderful, funny man, he died a
few years ago.
There are three first cousins left from the original Jaubert brother,
Marius' son George's descendants (George, Louis, Jeanne and Clerc). We
went to France to the home two years ago.
