M. Anne Jeanne Manuby Clermont, Quebec Canada

I am looking for any information on Jeanne.

Jeanne married Jean Baptiste Fauteux(the Fauteux line changes to Legault-Deslauriers down the line) on 26 Jan 1818, in Saint-Benoit, Mirabel/Mirabel, Quebec.

Jeanne and Jean Baptiste had a son named Jean Baptiste Fauteux that married Edesse Piche.

I have the Fauteux line all the way back to France but I cannot find any information on Jeanne. I dont have her parents names either.

We where told that there could possibly be some Chippewa. Have you found any evidence of that?

I am looking for two children born to Louis Clermont and Celanise Nadeau. These two children would have been born in the years 1876 and 1878. Alden was born possibly in 1876 and Mary in 1878. Either just Alden or possibly both children were born in Quebec. Of course any information on any descendants of this couple would be most appreciated.

I am also looking for information regarding Julia or Julie Clermont of Nova Scotia. I believe she was born in Chebogue, NS. I have a birthdate for her which I found in the 1901 census. It said JULIA was born 27 Dec. 1863 and that she was French. She died around 1903 just after having Marguerite Annie Haley. Julia married John Harvey Haley. St-Jacques-le-MINEUR is a town in Quebec, Canada. It must of been a typo. Hemmingford is also a town... Most of the Clermont surname is concentrated in the St-Jacques le-Mineur area and surroundings.

My name is Bernard Clermont. Good to know that we are many who crossed the Ocean.

I have been living in Montreal (Quebec) since 1995, but I am French, from Nice, down South Cote d'Azur.

I have some information about the Clermont family, but searching is hard and takes a long time in France.

My father told me that our ancester is very famous......King Saint Louis.

His grand son was "le Duc de Clermont"

I am looking for my maternal grandfather's line. We have hit countless walls at my grandfather, Joseph Louis Forest - he never spoke of his life before meeting my grandmother. The only information we have is that he was born November 8, 1886 to Marie Jeanne Clermont and Louis Forest. I was hoping someone on this board would have a Marie Jeanne Clermont that I could look at. It is also possible that my grandfather changed his last name from either DeForest or LaForest.

I am the nephew of Roland Clermont. His wife Eva is my father's sister. His name is Albert F. Parent. My Dad worked several years at the Clermont Market, I believe the one located at Lincoln Square, Lowell after the "Mills" in Lowell closed down. I remember that my Aunt and Uncle had three children, EDWARD (EDDIE), RONALD (RONNIE), JOSEPH (JOEY). I have a picture of my Aunt and Uncle on their wedding day. It shows them along with my Grandfather Arthur Parent Sr., Rita Parent Blanchette,Roland's Father Joseph and two unidentified members of the wedding party.Could be Joseph Clermont and wife? My Grandfather Arthur Sevigny had a brother named Alcide whom I believe had a daughter named Theresa. Theresa had a brother named Ray or Raymond and a sister named Rita. Theresa might have married Lucien Clermont who ended up in Florida. I think Lucien's parents were J William Clermont and Bertha Soucy who were married in 1922. One of Theresa's sons might be named Richard living in the N. Andover area of Ma.I believe Theresa was brought up on Riverside St. in Lowell Ma.. I think I might have the missing link for you.

I have and Antoine Vantalon Clermont married to a Marguerite Jared Beauregard. I only have a daughter for this couple named Marguerite Vantalon Clermont married to Nicolas Matte St Michel on Jan 17 1785 in Beleoil, Quebec. His parents were Michel Matte St Michel and Francois Thibault.

I found this info in the PRDH web site and because my mother is a Clermont and my father a Matte I documented it - although I cannot find a link into either tree for this group.

I am looking for an Isabelle/Elisabeth/Elizabeth Mercier nee "all of the names listed above". On her son's marriage lines her name was listed as Oevmont (which doesn't exist), with an alternate spelling of Ouimet (which doesn't work for me). But her children's baptismal records say her maiden name was Clairmont/Clermont/Clermond and now I find a dit name (also known as) of Montalon. Anyone got any ideas?

Julia was raised by a couple by the name of Plalte or Platie, They got her when she was 9 mos. old. She did not return to Canada until she was a grown woman.She had 5 children. I do not have there names or dates. She divorced her first husband in US She also divorced a second husband. I do not know their names.

I am searching for my grandmother Eduordina Clermont/ Clairmont or Claremont's family. she was born in Quebec, Canada in the late 1800's and married my grandfather Joseph H. Cote. I am looking for the family's on both sides. I believe they were both born around the Drummondville/Sherbrooke area of Canada and that my granfather or grandmother too, had Native blood. If these names sound familiar to anyone please let me know. I would appreciate any information. They came to USA and settled in Holyoke/Chicopee area of Massachusetts. They had seven children. George, Beatrice, Mary, Samuel, Alice,Aguste Theodore and Leonard. They went back to Canada briefly around 19 21 or so and also lived in Maine for a while. My father was George Cote born in 1901. They had other children who died.

I remember also that Eduordina had a sister Felexina or Phylexina or perhaps another spelling. Eduordina also spelled Edwardina Clermont/Clairemont/ Claremont.

Dear Larry,

We might just be barking up the right tree for a change. It would seem, like perhaps, Eduordina Clermont, might have been named after her father. The date's seem to be accurate,...Thomas was born in 1880 and in those days they had children one after the other, and Eduordina was born in 1881, she could have been a sibling. I initially searched for the Cote side, but hit a dead wall. if we could find those rwo names, Eduordina and Philexina then we could have a match. At least it has given me hope. I know one thing about Eduordina's father....and if you could somehow match this item, perhaps we have a go. My grandmother Eduordina had a throw rug and on it was a man, who had long white hair and a long white beard. My mother said to me, when I was a child, "That looks just like PE PERE Clermont", so I quess in his older years he sported a long white beard. I can still see it and I must have been about 6 years old. So keep in touch and who knows, we may be successful and I might find my Cote roots to boot.

Thank you for htis site. Yes, there were Cote's in the voyageur list. Charles Cote descended from Jean Cote, which is not my line. Now, Francois and Joseph Cote are two different subjects so no I am trying to find them.

I notice that Fronsoise Clermont was a half blood who married a Dussime I believe....so maybe that could be a native link.
