Kelly, I live in Davidson Co., NC. My cousin Jack Clinard has a son named Kelly. But Jack's Father Was Raymond Clinard, son of Edward Clinard, son of Hiriam Clinard, Son of Andrew Clinard, Son of Philip Clinard.

Rick Russell and his cousin Karen have written several books and have researched the Clinard Family from Davidson old Rowan Couny, NC. very extensively.
My Father was Orville Franklin Clinard Brother of Raymond.
I have met Rick and have spoken a few times with his cousin Karen who lives in Michigan.
Would love to hear from you if you like.
I have not taken time to enjoy my ancestry research lately.
Now that it is winter, will take more time.
Note: I am a Clinard from both my Mother via her mother's side and my Father's side--several cousins removed.

I have a 3rd great grandfather by the name of Phillip Clinard moved to Indiana at an age before 25 per the Wabash township Parke county Indiana 1850 census :

Hi, I just found this post and through my research I believe I'm related to Johann Philip Kleinert (Clinard). He was married to Catherine Sauters, my records show their son Lawrence Johann Kleinert (Clinard) married Rosina Rosanne Miller, and their son was Andrew Clinard married to Rebecca (Rachel) Welborn, their son Simeon and so on. My mother was a Clinard, Andrew Clinard was her great-great grandfather. Look at my tree Proctor. Johann Phillip Clinard's children's marriages to Millers

Two of Johann Phillip Clinard/Kleinert's children of NC married Millers in the late 1700s. His daughter Catherine married a Frederick Miller and his son, Lawrence married a Rosina Miller whose father's name is Friedrich Miller (from wedding banns/marriage info in Moravian records). Does anyone know the relationship of Frederick and Rosina or other children/wife/siblings, etc. of these Millers families? I have Frederick Miller purchasing and selling over 4,000 acres in Stewart Co., TN and Lawrence Clinard is a witness to one of the sales. I have a Joseph and John Miller living adjacent and in the community that Lawrence and Rosina lived in Robertson Co, TN in the early 1800s. Does anyone know about these relationships? Thanks!

Stuart, I appreciate your response on the marriage/death of child on Lawrence Clinard in NC. I would appreciate any other info you have on Lawrence and Rosina. Also, was Mary Hinkle that married Daniel Clinard the sister of Peter and Anthony, and how is Catherine Deck Hinkle related to them? Was the Salem Tavern that Lawrence and Rosina married the tavern that had been owned by her father, Peter Hinkle, decd around 1775? Did the tavern continue to be operated by family members? Do you know what Lawrence's occupation would have been in NC? Someone a year or two ago had mentioned a family dispute bet/w Lawrence and his father was the reason for them moving to TN? Any info on the Frederich Miller family also appreciated as we have a Joseph and John Miller here in early 1800s buying adjacent property to Clinards, along with Peter and Anthony Hinkle. I am working on putting together a book (of some sort) about the Germans that came to TN and settled in Robertson Co. We have inputted the first 6 generations of Clinards in RC,TN into Family Treemaker, and working on completing to present. Also, the interconnected families such as Millers, Hinkles, Freys, Binkleys, Cobbs, Martins, Kigers. I've corresponded with Rick Russell and he has shared much of his info with me that he had. Have any information on Clinards in Illinois since posting this inquiry? I believe your Clinard family is the one from around Tuscola, Illinois. My mother, a Clinard is from the family in Pike County. Clinards, who are all retalted as far as I know live in several counties in the area of Pike, Brown, Montgomery, and Scott Counties. If you have not found the information you seek, please let me know, as I have lots of Clinard information from Illiinois

Vicey Jane Clinard was born Feb. 18, 1855 in Decatur Co., GA and died Dec. 31, 1920. She was the daughter of Jacob Livingston & Nancy Ann (Lambert) Clinard. Vicey Jane married John Wesley Littlefield on Dec. 24,4 1879 in Decatur Co., GA. John was born Jan. 16, 1854 and died Dec. 10, 1935 in Decatur Co., GA. John's father was John Littlefield who was born in South Carolina and died in Mexico before 1860.
