HENRY CLINE
Henry CLINE died at his home in the north part of town Monday after an illness of about two weeks.
Mr. Cline had been a resident of Minneapolis for thirteen years coming here from the Ada community.
Henry CLINE was born in Lycoming Co., Pa., February 1st, 1852 and died at his home in Minneapolis, Kansas, March 6th, 1928 at the age of 75 years, one month and five days. In 1872 he was married to Almire Carson of Pennsylvania. In 1879 he came to Kansas and settled on a farm near Ada, where they lived for a number of years, later moving to Minneapolis. He was converted in 1894 and united with the Free Methodist Church. The deceased was a man of good habits, honest, energetic and industrious, well respected by a wide circle of friends. He was true to his savior to the last.
Those who are left to mourn his loss are his wife, one sister, Mrs. Maggie Good, two brothers, Jerry and George CLINE all of Pennsylvania, eight children, Warren CLINE, Mrs. P.A. Baker, Mrs. Charles Shoemaker, Mrs. Ernie Taylor, Mrs. Vessie Shoemaker, Mrs. Beryl Kifer, all of Minneapolis; Mrs. Al Starkey and Mrs. Roy Warren of Salina; also twenty grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a host of friends. One son, Harry, has preceded him to the great beyond.
The funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal Church Wednesday afternoon. The pastor, the Rev. Alexander Bryans preached the sermon and the Rev. Easterling, pastor of the Free Methodist church also took part in the service after which the remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Ada cemetery.
