Hello Deana Webb. I am Glenn Cline. Your grandmother Emma was my great aunt. I have heard several fun family stories and Emma was in some of these. I would love to see any family pics that you may have. We have very few of that side of the family. Gvonc@aol.com. Thank you.

Hello DWebb. Congers Clines Is my grandfather and his son, John Robert Cline is my father. Both are deceased. My great grandfather, Thomas Jefferson Clines was married to Lizzie Turner and there marriage record is on file in Douglas county GA. Thomas mother was Mary Cauthren or Cauthen. They are in a Cobb county census when Thomas was an infant an his father, my great, great grandfather is listed as deceased on that census. I have a good bit more information if you are interested. My aunt Christine Cline is alive and living in FL. She is Conyers Cline(s) youngest daughter. I would be very interested in any family information that you have. Thank you. Glenn Cline gvonc@aol.com.

Jacob Y Clines born in Indiana in 1823 married Eliza Anne
McQuilling in Scott County Indiana. Eliza died about 1878
Jacob remarried Lydia Stansberry. Looking for information
on the parents of Jacob Clines (there are two in Scott County Indiana) one born in Ohio, not the one. Also death date of Eliza Anne Mcquilling Clines and second wife Lydia
Stansberry Clines. Jacob died after 1900. I have a picture of Jacob (and Eliza)and he is blind in later years. Believe he is the inmate in the County Poor house in Haughville Indiana 1900 but would have a 3rd wife at that time.
I am so sorry to hear Aunt Essie is in such bad health. She was my second favorite Aunt...Aunt Hilda, (Uncle Ernest's wife) was like my second mother and then came Aunt Essie. Aunt Essie came to stay with my parents for a while in 1979 and my husband, Mike Rogers and I took her back home along with our first born child (son), Jason Michael Rogers, he was only a few months old when we took her home. We have a daughter Jessica Leigh Rogers she will be 27 tomorrow, 02.08. born 1983, our son is 30 born 09.18.1979. Jessica and her father share the same birthday, he will be 57 tomorrow, she was born on his 30th BD.

Was the guy your Grandfather worked for named Kenneth Farmer when he was delivering the Racoon Mountain syrup? It seems like the Racoon Mountain syrup went out of business, do you know if it did? I can't remember but did your Grandfather die from heart trouble? It seems like he died at a fairly young age. I have enjoyed communicating with you and catching up on some other family members. When my parents (Bill and Louise Clines Frasier) would visit AL, they usually would go to Uncle Ernest and Aunt Hilda's home; therefore the reason for knowing more from that end of the family. I remember my mother saying (Wesley Franklin Clines and Rebecca Viola East Haney Clines) her parents, had 16 children.....can you imagine!!!! They both were married to other spouses before they married. Each of their first spouses died and they each had 2 children from their previous marriage. I barely remember Uncle CW (what did the CW stand for?) however I do remember st the funeral his casket was closed and they had a picture of him sitting on top and the casket was at the home.

Do you see your mother often? If she has the information I would love to get the fullnames/birthdates of all Papa and Granny Clines 16 children and their offspring. Is your mother, Marry Ann in fairly good health? If you don't mind telling me, how old you are Heath? I am 54 and my BD is 04.21.1955.

I am the only child my parents had together. Both my parents were married to another before they got married. I have a brother (actually half-brother but he is more like a brother) who lives in Albertville and he use to be the morning DJ for WAVU-WQSB. He now just does special things and still works sales part-time. His name is Billy Prickett, sad to say I can't recall right now for the life of me his middle name (it is William ???? Prickett and Jr. I think) I want to say Lonnie William Prickett, he was born 05.1939 and he has 2 daughters Melissa ? (get back with you on her married name and Leslie Prickett Temple. Melissa has no children but Leslie has 2 Christopher and Forrest.
Use my email if you like fast_lane421@bellsouth.net and have your mother contact me via email, snailmail. My address is 204 Cherokee Rd. Williamston, SC 29697-9468 and my phone is 864-847-5247. Please keep me updated and writing whenever you can!!!! I was figuring out how related we are and I think it is 3rd cousins. Jearl was my first cousin, so you mother Debbie Darlene (what was she called growing up?) was my second counsin and you would be my third, I think that is how the family tree chain goes...I would love to be able to put together one!!!
ALways, Your Cuz',
Elaine Frasier Rogers

Yeah, I knew the trire center was gone from Fort Payne, when my parents use to stop there was in the late 60's early 70's....a really long time ago. Jearl was always so quiet and mild mannered. I am trying to remember the brand of syrup he use to deliver...was it Racoon Mountain or something with a Mountain? Is Dorthy in AL or FL?
I am sorry to say I don't remember any of Jearl's children that much. I was always closer to the first cousins than 2nd however it is good to lean about them so you can document things.
Is it possible for you to get your grandmother, if she is able and doing OK, to drop me a line in snail mail or if she can email fast_lane421@bellsouth.net
She was also quiet and not outspoken very much from whenever I would see her. Let her know I am Louise Clines Frasier's daughter, Elaine Frasier from SC. Jearl would always stop whenever he was delivering up this way. My mother, Louise, was the one who made all the fruit cakes around Christmas time.
Is your mother (Debbie Darlene) Jearl's oldest daughter? What was she called Debbie or Darlene?
Heath, keep in touch and I will do the same. Write back when you can. Have you read all the post on this section?

C.W. Clines was my Uncle, however I was very young when he was killed. I still remember going to Aunt Essie's and having her wonderful biscuits!!!! His son spelled his name Gerald (from what I remember seeing written) he worked with a syrup company for years. I know he would always visit my mother Louise Clines Frasier in West Pelzer, SC.
Carl and Elizabeth have passed. I haven't heard from Marlin or Dorthy but my parents would usually stop at Marlins tire store in Fort Payne. I know I have more than likely seen you at reunions or something along that line. And more than likely I have pictures of you and don't know who they are b/c momma had a lot of pictures and didn't put names on them or dates.

Yes, you have verified what I was telling a first cousin about.....Wesley Frank Clines, Sr. married Rebecca Viola East Haney Clines and they both had 2 children from a previous marriage. My full name is Mary Elaine Frasier Rogers, I go by Elaine. I did not know Aunt Dora was a Rogers before her marriage. I have a sewing machine cabinet Aunt Dora gave to my parents. My father, William Calvin Frasier, refinished the sewing cabinet and I use it in our guest bedroom as a night table. I have a cassette tape of my mother, Elen Louise Clines Frasier, Uncle Ernest Clines and Uncle Oren singing hymnals. It is so precious to have something which they probably never gave a thought to about it being a part of Clines history....

Respectfully,
Mary Elaine Frasier Rogers

So, you and I are first cousins. Juanita use to keep me when I was a child. She lived with my mother, Louise when my father was in service and kept me so mother could work...
I am very sorry to hear about Aunt Edna's passing Wednesday. I have tried to get the phone number to find out the arrangements. Ray Howard Clines called me Wednesday evening to let me know of her passing, however he did not have any details.
Please catch up with me...also Hazel Nell Clines was married and had 2 sons but for the life of me I can't remember her married name. She died from breast cancer. Also, it seems like PawPaw clines had 2 children from a previous marriage....I may be terribly wrong on this matter.

Respectfully,
Mary Elaine Frasier Rogers

Cheryl,
I have been researching the O'Brien family. My late mother was an O'Brien, and Edna Harrington's mother was Margaret O'Brien. The way I figure it, I am a third cousin of your husband. I've gotten quite a lot accomplished on the O'Brien's, who settled in the Tenleytown area. I can send my file if you like.
Jan

Rebecca, I don't know what you need to know, but perhaps we can share information. My mother was first cousins to Dora Rogers, who married Oren Lee Clines. I have some information about their family. I have a ton of information about the Rogers family, going back to Virginia in the 1700s.

I was told by someone that Wesley Frank Clines, father of Oren Lee Clines, was married to Ester Scott. I have been unable to verify that. In the Census records that I have located, his wife is given as Viola in 1920 and Rebecca V. in 1930. I have been unable to locate them earlier than that. Could Ester Scott have been a first wife and Rebecca Viola East Clines a second wife. I do know that Rebecca Viola Clines was married to a Haney, as the Census of 1930 lists Mildred and Clara as Wesley Frank Clines' stepdaughters.

Do you know where they were in 1910 or 1900? I also was told that the father of Wesley Frank Clines was John W. Clines, from Cherokee County NC, but I have been unable to verify that from Census records. Do you know where this Clines family was between, say, 1880 and 1920. They were in Marshall County, AL, by 1920.
