I noticed the name Ella Laub in your message. This is a shot in the dark, but I have an Ella Laub (born 1872) that was the daughter of Andrew Miller and Lucy Laub in Hopkinsville, KY. Ella married someone named WILLIAMS and was living in Birmingham, AL according to her mother's obit in 1918.
Ella also had a daughter named Kathleen CLARK from her first marriage that may have been living in Alabama also.
