WITHOUT THE HELP OF OTHERS, COULD NOT HAVE FOUND THOMAS JEFFERSON WEIDNER, OR HIS FATHER WILLIAM AND FRANCES KENYON WEIDNER. OUR FAMILY HAS A VERY UNIQUE PHOTO, TAKEN IN OKLAHOMA. THE YEAR WAS ABOUT 1905 OR 1906. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE IN THE PHOTO. SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE, PROBABLY HAS A LIST OF FAMILIES PICTURED. WE CAN IDENTIFY SOME, BUT WOULD SURE LIKE TO FIND SOMEONE WHO COULD GIVE MORE INFO. THE PHOTO MAY HAVE BEEN TAKEN OF A REVIVAL MEETING.

Well, it has been 5 years since I started this venture and I still have had no breakthroughs on my Clovis line. What I know know is that Jane was probably Mary Jane, and went by Mary. I find her with her husband in census reports. She was born in ca 1843 in Pa. She and D.C. Shutts had 6 children:
Lena H b 1882
Olie (maybe Olive, and may have married Roscoe Williams)
Daniel b 1871
Jennie (maybe married James Shutts)
Rosa Hattie b July 1884
Charles b 1873

Both Mary Jane Clovis and Daniel Shutts (D.C.) are still brick walls for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Candy Cox (Black)

We have four children listed for William Alfred Clovis and Ella Weidner Clovis. This from a list, given to us from family of Fred Walter Weidner, brother of Ella. Leo or Lee, Viola, Paul and Pearl. The Elizabeth Fowler Weidner was the first wife of Thomas Jefferson Weidner, married in Morgan Co. Ind., 1844(Married as Jefferson T. Weidener and Elizabeth Fowler) They were the parents of John William Weidner, married Mary Catherine Rogers Weidner. Elizabeth died soon after birth of John William Weidner. He had a sister, Mary Frances, born 1845, and another sibling, who died in between 1845 and 1851. Thomas Jefferson Weidner returned to Ind. from Iowa, and Married Second Wife, Mary Ann McKinley Graves Weidner, and they were parents of seven children. Would really like to share any info that we have and be able to include yours in the family history. (Thomas Jefferson Weidner was the son of William and Frances Kenyon Weidner, married Clark Co. Ind. 1821, no parents of either proven as of now, that we know of. Keep hoping someone will have info to lead us to that discovery!

Judy, the address and phone number I have for Shelley Kuther are as follows:

Shelley Kuther
321 W Main St
Craigmont, ID 83523
(208)924-5474

Her husband's name is Lyle.

She was trying to write a whole history of the Clovis' but ran out of steam. I don't know if she is in fact still alive but presume she is. She was very cooperative with my Dad, my brother and me, all of whom have an interest in Clovis history.

Good luck. And, if you want to E-mail me directly, my E-mail is JamesSClovis @AOL.com

Ella married someone named WILLIAMS and was living in Birmingham, AL according to her mother's obit in 1918.

Ella also had a daughter named Kathleen CLARK from her first marriage that may have been living in Alabama also.

Any of this fit into your records?

I have a little bit of info on Sarah Ann Clovis. The info comes from old info I have on the Clovis family. There is a John Clovis born in 1813 whose father was Conrad. Conrad was born in Washington Co. Md. somewhere between 1786 and 1789. John's wife was Sarah Husted and John died in Mulberry Kansas on June 1, 1892. The records I have for Sarah Ann say she was born on Oct. 24, 1850. This is all I have on her although there is probably info in Salt Lake and it is possible that one Shelly Kuether has more. I'm a descendant of Conrad's brother, Matthias. A number of people hav tried to trace the family. The best information is that there father was John (Johann) and his name was something like Globes. This Johann was born in Germany and was a Hessian soldier who desserted in the Revolutionary War. Conrad and Matthias show up in church records in Hagerstown, Md. And we are pretty sure they were German speaking-the church was a German Lutheran church, I believe. Since stem from Matthias, I have more info on that side of the family. I can try to find Shelly Kuether's address if you like. I assume she is still living.

I am still at 512 West 6Th St. Carrollton, Mo. 64633 I WONDERED IF THEY WERE TRYING TO TELL ME my info was boring by using Bland.
Wow! Hope everyone was under cover and safe during tornado. Those are so very frightening and then the destruction. Will put the copy in the mail today. If there is any way to make larger or share with others, please do. Hope you are mended from your injuries. Those are like surgery, not a lot of fun! Have not made any progress toward finding the parents of William and Frances Kenyon Weidner. Found that Mary Ann Weidner Rusk, lost her husband, Jan. of 1862. He is not listed as a Civil War soldier. He was 51, when he died. Cannot imagine that he was not involved, unless to ill to start with. Mary Ann was not buried in same cemetery, or no record of her being there.
