Looking for parents of Nancy J. Coal b. 1820 KY who appears in the 1850 Clay Co. IL census as wife of Grissom Lee. There were extremely strong ties to Warrick, Gibson, Posey counties. Working on a hunch, I think Grissom's first wife died and he returned to Indiana to find another wife to take back to IL with him. There is a Joseph Coal in 1820 Vienna Twp., Gibson Co. census that I believe may be Nancy's father. Other than that I am cold.

My g.grandmother's name was Millie Beatrice Coal(sp.?) I think her first husbands name was Black.She married my G.grandfather Harry Stratton.They had a son Robert Leon Stratton Who lived in Clinton, Iowa.That is all I know of that part of my family.Need help!!

{Note: Augesten Moore is Augustine Moore, my gggg-grandfather. This Thomas Coal is possibly related to Gilbert Coal, counted in 1830 in Beaver Co, Hanover Twp, PA. This Gilbert Coal is probably Gilbert Cool, my ggg-grandfather. Seeking any info on this Thomas Coal.

ISRAEL COAL/COALE/COLE married my gg grandmother, Mariah Martin Young, 1849 in Jefferson Co., TN, second marriages for the both. Israel had a son named, Godfrey N. who married (1)Eliza Herrell, then (2) Adeline Hansel. There was another son, William and two daughters, Elizabeth and Louisa. Louisa married Rufus Brown in Hamblen Co., TN in 1870's. These children were by Israel's first marriage. If anyone has a connection, please contact me.
