This was a very old query, so you've probably already worked everything out, but if not, I have some information on Delima Rabideau's lineage.

Mostly just her siblings, parents [Eugene Rabideau and Mary(Marie) Remillard], and family line with her second husband, after Frank Coash died. Unfortunately I haven't had time to research farther back.

Delima remarried Vanmeter Gabriel Rider, and they had a daughter, Rhuie M Rider, in 1916. Rhuie would be your father's half-sister.

Re: Josephine LaCroix Coash Robert

The following is adapted from my research notes on Josephine LaCroix, who along with her first husband, Toussaint Coash, are my direct ancestors. Frank Clark Patterson (mentioned below) was the uncle of my grandmother. He was not descended from Josephine LaCroix at all, but did do some research on her (perhaps as a favor to my grandmother) just prior to his death in the late 1940s.

...After the death of Toussaint Coash, Josephine moved to Bay City, Michigan, where it appears (from the 1880 census) that several of her siblings had taken up residence. According to Frank Clark Patterson, Josephine was married second to Marcel Robert, son of Godfrey Robert, on June 12, 1877, by Rev. Valentine Grille, Saint Joseph Church, Washington Ave., bet. 2nd and 3rd St., Bay City, Michigan.

According to Frank, Josephine was 36 and Marcel was 25 at the time of this marriage. Frank lists children Albert & Gilbert for this marriage. The 1880 census shows Josephine as the wife of Marshall Roberts, Albert and Phillip Roberts as Marshall’s sons; and Richard J., Louis F., Thomas P., Peter, Mary J., and Emma E. Coash as Marshall’s stepchildren. Siblings Salome LaCroix and George LaCroix are found living next door, and Nelson Coash is nearby, in the household of tinsmith Theron E. Smith.

Frank Clark Patterson extracted all the references to the Roberts and Coashes from the Bay City directories, 1877-1890; and the Saginaw City directories from 1890-1906. These show Peter, Thomas, Richard J., Louis, & Nelson T. Coash, living with Marcel Roberts at various times and in various combinations. The obituary of Josephine’s grandson, Thomas Carl Coash, published in the Saginaw Evening News, page 6, Tuesday, 26 Nov. 1907, makes mention of a Mrs. J. Robert of Detroit – if this is Josephine, as seems likely, she would have been living in Detroit by 1907.

According to the genealogical research notes of Frank Clark Patterson, Josephine died 30 Oct. 1909 at Ecorse, Wayne, MI. Her family appeared in the Saginaw City directories from 1890-1906, she is found in Bay City in the 1900 census, the 1907 obituary of Thomas Carl Coash places her in Detroit, and widower Marcel Roberts appears in Detroit in the 1910 census, making any of these locations as plausible a place of death as Ecorse. To date, however, I have been unable to find a death record for her in any of these locales.

Josephine LaCroix censuses mentioning Marcel Robert:

14 Jun. 1880. p. 506 stamp. Dwelling 271/Family 319. Fitzhugh St., Bay City, Seventh Ward, Bay Co., MI. Page 35, SD 3, ED 20. Roberts, Marshall, 29M, b. MI, fb. Canada, mb. Canada; Josephine, 40F, wife, b. MI, fb. Canada, mb. MI; Albert, 2M & Phillip, 3/12M (b. March), both sons, both b. MI, fb. MI, mb. MI; Coash, Richard J., 16?M; Louis F., 14M; Thomas P., 12M; Peter, 10M; Mary J., 8F; Emma E., 6F; all Coash children listed as stepson or stepdaughter, all b. IL, fb. Canada, mb. MI. All 4 boys work in “Pail Facty.” as does Marshall Roberts. Next door is the family of Charles Mayott and Salome LaCroix, and in dwelling 273 we find the family of George and Flora LaCroix.

08 Jun. 1900. City of Bay City, Bay County, Michigan. SD 10, ED 37. Sheet No. 8B. Lines 84-86. 869 Stanton(?) St., Dwelling 175, Family 178. Roberts, Marst[remainder obscured by something written overtop], head, 45M, b. Apr. 1855, married 22 years, b. Michigan, fb. Canada Fr., mb. Canada Fr., day laborer; Roberts, Josephene, wife, 57F, b. June 1842, married 22 years, mother of 9 children with 9 living, b. Michigan, fb. Canada Fr., mb. Michigan; Roberts, Albert, son, 21M, b. Aug. 1878, single, b. Michigan, fb. Michigan, mb. Michigan, laborer at a saw mill.

Marcel Robert, Step-Father-in-Law, age 55, widower, married for 33 years, b. Michigan, fb. Michigan, mb. Michigan, Laborer at a Packing House, appears in the household of Robert and Emma Reed in the 1910 census for Ward 10, Detroit City, Wayne County, MI.
Erroneous One World Tree Birth Dates for Augustin Coache, s/o Augustin Coache & Marguerite LaCroix

As of March 2008, Ancestry.com's One World Tree showed a birth date of 21 Nov. 1840 and a death date of 28 Mar. 1880 for Augustin Coache, the son of Augustin Coache and Marguerite LaCroix. Neither of these records can be found in the Drouin collection for St-Cyprien, Napierville (these parish registers are the source for the other known children of Augustin Coache and Marguerite LaCroix) but the record of Augustin Coache's 17 Oct. 1853 marriage to Marie Celine Tremblay does appear therein. The marriage demonstrates that the One World Tree birth date for this individual is in error, since he would otherwise be a mere 12 years of age on his wedding day.

Looking at the user-submitted trees that went into the One World Tree reveals that the erroneous vital statistics belong not to Augustin Coache of Quebec, but to an August Koch of Illinois, who was (it appears) mistakenly identified as Augustin Coache by whatever process Ancestry.com uses to build the One World Tree.

Coache/Coash researchers should be aware of this particular error, and all researchers should look carefully at anything that appears in the One World Tree, since Ancestry.com's process for automatically merging user-submitted trees into the One World Tree can lead to errors.

Does anyone have a record of this info? What was it.. Possible a Marriage in Canada For Jean.. Giving Parents and where from before Canada? Saying his parents where Francois DeKavadchy and Catherine Bagnir?
I'm trying to find out about this record Because I've learned a bit of hungarian Working on My mother side of tree where both Grandparents came from Hungary.. And I beleive this name and town are misspelled! If so I might be able to take us all further back in the line.. For instance there isn't a CH in The hungarian Language.. It's actually CS for same sound..
Also Name Changes Wise Francois would be either Ferko or Ferenc and the name Catherine would be Katalin.. The town could possibly be Puski..
Anyway My point is I need to know if anyone has this record and from where the record was found.. So I can see if I can do the name changes and help us get further back tree wise..

Rene - You must be married to one of Ben & Frances's kids. Melvin Coash is my father.

When I visited Martha Rose in Dallas a few years back, she showed me a photo of Sophie and her mother - two very large and ugly Lakota ladies, I'm afraid. But they were in their full Lakota dress. Someday I hope to get a copy of that picture.

And when I was there, I did a tracing of the grave stone of Oliver and Sophie before they disinterred them at Calvary Cemetary. I got it done just before the bulldozers moved in!

This may pertain or not.

There is a record of marriage between NELLIE HOWE and Michael Considine at Holy Angels R. C. Church, Chicago, on 27 June 1897. The witnesses were - Patrick Murray and Kate Howe. This information was obtained from FHL film # 1752991, Item 9.
My interest was in the Considine name as that was my mother's maiden name. Her family was from the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago.

Does this fit with your Nellie Howe?
