My gggrandfather was James E. Cobb (b.1847 Pickens Cty, SC) married Nancy Standridge (b.1852). I believe his father was John C. Cobb (b.1810 Pickens Cty, SC) married Isabella. I am unsure as to John's father. I believe it to be Robert, son of Rev.John and Francis (Frankie) Smith Cobb, but the year of Robert's birth of 1782 is only 12 years after the birth of his mother Francis (1770). Was the Rev. Cobb married previously or are my dates incorrect? Can anyone provide info on this Cobb family line? Thanks.
