I'm from the Portsmouth clan (wrong side of the bedsheets to the "noblity ones"!) My grandfather was (Ernest) Percival Cobbold (born in London, 1882) one of several children of James, born in Rattlesden, Suffolk in 1837 and died in London 1917.
Percival (born in London) had 8 children (all born in Portsmouth): Winifred, Ernest (my father), Ciss, Aidie, Ron, Maisie, George and Babs.
Can anyone relate to the above mentioned James Cobbold
