Jack Cobden is my Great Grandfather. I live in California, he has a daughter who is my Great Anut that is still alive and only lives 2 blocks away. Earnest Cobden, was my grandfather, who is the son of Jack Cobden. I guess we are some you call realatives, so wonderful to meet you.

Thanks for the tip and link. I was able to find both of the Cobdens.
I now have photos of the headstones.
John ladyman was my grandfather and Jack was my uncle (my mother's brother)

You can find a few Cobden California graves on www.findagrave.com. A Jack L. Cobden is listed at Forrest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angelos. Also a John Ladyman Cobden listed in Florida at Fountain Cemetery. Hope this is of help.

I'm looking for any Cobden living in California that might have some information about my Uncle's family. His name was Thomas Henry Ladyman Cobden but was known as "Jack" and was born 08 Feb 1908. He married Hilda Mary Hill. They had 2 children that I know of, Ernest and Mary. Ernest married Betty Bell Hass. I beleive they had 2 daughters. Any info or leads would be appreciated.

cecil cobden

My grandad is Cecil Cobden Born around 1880 1881.
He married in Epsom in May 1917 to Jane Olive Burdfield, and died 1961 aug.

I can find no trace of him anywhere apart from the marriage cert and death cert.Does anyone have him in thier family tree or even my grandmother.

Sorry I only have a William born 1813 Chichester, Sussex so cannot help.

Hopefully someone will be able to help you with a census entry maybe his parents were still alive in 1851.

William Cobden

I have a William Cobden (age 16) found in the 1881 British Census living at 11 Orchard Terrace, Subdeanery, Sussex. He is the stepson of Charles & Mary Sweetlove. In the 1901 Ontario Canada census there is a William Cobden (age 35) living with James & Mary J Sweetlove in Hamilton, Ontario. I think that this is the same William Cobden and I am hoping to find out that Charles Sweetlove and James Sweetlove were brothers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John all I have so far is that Christopher was born abt 1780 married to Mary Ann Herbert Nov 22 1804 at Saint Pancras, Chichester, Sussex, England. Mary Ann was born in the same area daughter of George Herbert and Ann Lover.
Christopher and Mary had only one child that I have managed to trace Eleanor Herbert Cobden born 1807.
Eleanor married John Osborn in 1833 and they had a daughter called Eleanor Herbert Osborn born 1839 also Chichester.
Eleanor married William Cox Jackson at St. Mary's Walthamstow, Essex in 1866.
Any help you can give me I would appreciate.

I suppose you mean Christopher Cobden? What do you know already? There were several Christophers around Chichester at the time. I may be able to help if you can give me a better idea who you are looking for.
