Missouri Jane, dau of MC & Elizabeth is my great grandmother. While looking closely at my tree a discrepancy appears. I have that MC Cockrell born 8 June 1824 died 2 Sept 1856 and is buried in the Sharon Cemetery, Simpson County, MS. His inscription: He followed virtue as his truest guide. Lived as a christian as a christian died. According to my uncle born in 1919 this is oldest headstone in the cemetery that was established in 1827

Next to him was Elizabeth inscription 21 Sept 1831 - 31 May 1884 wife of M C Cockrell
