OAKLAND -Eileen (Blondie). Eileen Oakland passed away Sunday, September 11, 2005 at the Eston Health Centre. She was born February 7, 1918 to Barney and Isabel Code of the Madison district. She attended school there, took a hair dresser course in Kindersley and worked in a beauty shop in Eston until she married Ira Oakland in 1945. They farmed north of Eston. Eileen was an active person. She was an avid gardener, a proficient trap shooter winning many local and provincial awards, an entertaining hostess and a great cook. Eileen was a people person and looked forward to her daily visits at the post office. She also had favourite nicknames for the people in her life. She will be greatly missed. Left to mourn Eileen's passing are her sisters, Wilda Botham, Lorraine Poss; two nephews, Robert Botham, George Code; and several cousins and many friends. Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Ira; parents, Barney and Isabel Code; brother, Lyall; brothers-in-law, Chester Botham and RF Poss. Funeral Services were September 14, 2005 at the Holy Cross Anglican Church, Eston, SK with Rev. Joan Scandrett officiating. Interment was at the Eston Cemetery. Eston/Snipe Lake Funeral Chapel was entrusted with arrangements
