Mary. You can't be any happier to see my posting than I am that you replied to it. Yes, I am related to your "Lillie (Kunkle) Codner" as you've probably figured out by looking through my website. I presume you read some of what I have on my website, including the 1881 letters from Lillie. We need to talk. I need information from you about all the descendants of Moses and Lillie and I can provide you genealogy contact information for at least one living descendant of Lillie's older brother, John. Got any pictures of Lillie? I've got some old pictures but haven't yet been able to put a name to some of them. One or more may be of Lillie. Contact me directly at tedwkunkle@verizon.com. If you send me your telephone number, I'll give you a call so we can talk. I live in Florida. Where are you? Ted
Moses was born in Iowa around 1860 and Lillie (maiden name Kunkle) was born in Ohio about 1866. Married in Kansas, spent a few years in South Dakota and ultimately ended up in Oklahoma by about 1900. Children's names were Vernon, Guy (believe married a Gladys Adams), Maud, Ollie, Courtland, and Robert (married a Helen or Elsie). Looking for descendants or anyone who knows about their later years and offspring.

Hi,
I have a little information about one of Barney's sons...Nathan Codner who married our gggaunt, Lucretia Love. They had twin daughters born in 1857 in Rock County, Wisconsin. Lucretia died shortly thereafter and Nathan moved to Blackhawk Co., Iowa. Nathan was living with his brother-in-law, Lyman Card in the 1860 census and one of his twin daughters, Etta was living with another brother-in-law, Jacob Hale along with her grandfather Barney. Jacob was the husband of Nancy Codner born 1822 in NY. She and Nathan were two of 8 children that I know about who were born to Barney and Eve Codner.
Nathan later remarried and had another family with his second wife, Eliza Smith. He is buried in Rose Hill cemetery, South Haven, Sumner Co., KS.
One of his twins, Etta married Orange Spencer Runyan who was the son of Lucretia Love's sister, Alida Love Runyan.
They are also buried in Rose Hill along with the other twin daughter, Mary Codner.
I have never found parents or siblings for Barney, so he is one of our brickwalls.
Shirley Love

Henry Codner & Relief Kelley Codner

I am looking for information going in either direction about Henry Codner and his wife Relief Kelley Codner. I am particularly looking for information on their ancestors.

Relief Kelley Codner was probably born about 1797 in Massachusetts and died after 1870. She is shown in the 1870 Census to be living with one of her children.

Henry Codner is possibly the son of Samuel Codner and was probably born about 1794. Samuel can be found in the 1800-1830 Federal Census records in Washington County, NY, and Henry can be found in Warren County, NY, in the 1850 Census. As I understand it, Warren County was carved out of Washington County.

Henry & Relief had a daughter, Mary Ann Codner, born 1830, Warren County, NY, who was my great great grandmother. Please contact me on this board or privately if you have any information.

Thank you.

Sherry Lord
lord@prtel.com
Hi,
I am trying to find descendants of Nathan and Lucretia Love Codner. They had twin daughters: Mary b. Dec. 20, 1857 in Rock Co., WI....and Etta Isabella b. same date.
Etta married Orange Runyan, the son of her mother's sister Alida Love Runyan. It was a case of cousins marrying.
Etta and Orange had a daughter named Clara who married a Halton and they had a son Charles Halton.
I would like to get in touch with any of the descendants of this family.
Shirley

Ramona Kelly, I don't know if this will help but working on my side of the family and looking up on a Lewis Daniels, I found he had a bro., Richard Daniels. I can't find much on him but in a 1880 Pike Co.Ky census, it listed for Louis Daniels a female named Lidea age 25 and a boy Daniel age 7 living in the same house with other members. The lady at the Pike Co. Courthouse says that they are probably either Lewis Daniels sister and nephew or another relitive that was living with him at that time. Other then this census I haven't found nothing more. If you think that this is who your looking for, contact me please....Sarah

I am also interested in identifying Ishamel Codner, as my ancestor Jeremiah Prosser is listed on the 1779 Tax List as having been his tenant since 1774. I have seen info from this site that Ishmael was a UEL, a King's Ranger, and had fought in the Old French & Indian Wars.
