Hi - My name is Adam Cofell, son of Marvin Ray Cofell and Rhonda (maiden name: Lawrence) Cofell and grandson of Effie and Marvin Cofell (Laurel Hill, NC) I'm a newbie to genealogy research but I am interested in finding out any and all information about my family. My father was married to a Reba Cofell in NC after he was with my mother (circa 1980's) and I have two half sisters, April Dawn Cofell and Ashley Glen Cofell whom I haven't seen for 5 years. My ggrandmother was Mary Coffel from Hardy Co. VA later WV. She married Bryant Jefferson on 21 Sept 1830 in Hardy Co. Does anyone have any information on this lady and her family? There is a big blank area on my family tree after her name.

There were are Cofell's in North Dakota. There was a Walter Herbert Cofell b 1 March 1883 Kent Co., Ont. s/o William Cofell Eliza Badder. His mother died in 1885 his father went to North Dakota about 1901/1902. I don't have at my fingertips where he ended up. He also had a nephew Walter Clarence Cofell b 1896 s/o William Henry Anna who lived in North Dakota. How is your grandmother related to the Cofell's? Do you have any more info re age, death, etc for the Walter you were asking about?
