Thank you. I have been to that site previously. I do believe that I might have siblings since I was told that there were childern born around 1950-1952 but not sure if from the Coffer line. My Father was married multiple times and had lived in NC. VA. CA. FL.and OK.

I'm searching for a Robert Coffer/Copher born 1788 to William Copher in Moore County, North Carolina. He had brothers named William, Henry and a sister named Celia that married a Goins. One of William Copher's (b.1785) and Rebekah Boals' children was named Isham which sounds similar to Robert's middle name Isom....Maybe a connection?

Are you connected to my family? My father, Robert(Bob) Coffer did live in NC and I had a cousin there. He (Bob) later moved to Florida to be near his Mother Bessie. My Father's last occupation was a truck driver. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Ada, I am looking for information for Dollie (Coffer) Apple, daughter of Alice (Coffer, McNeely, Roberts). This is my grandmother and I would like to know her birth and death information so that I can get a headstone for her. I think that her birthdate was sometime in June of 1886.I know where she is buried, but cannot find any death information. My dad was young when she died and does not know a date. I do know that she was born in Missouri and died in Arkansas. I would really like to get her a headstone.

You know the Bath County Cofer's/Coffers' & Cophers are mostly Mormons', don't you, if not be advised. All the Bath CO., Cofer's decended from Thomas "T" Cofer who Died Culpepper, VA. 1791. My name is Ken Coffer and a I live in Florissant, Mo a suburb of St. Louis. My family came from St Francois County in Missouri and then we moved to St. Louis probably in the early 1900's. My father was Arthur, born 1911 in Flat River, Mo. and my grandfather was Samuel Coffer.
I have four children Matt- 31, Mike - 32, Kelly 27 and David 22. I was just interested in the Coffer line in Missouri and wanted to find out more information.

Looking for parents of Drusilla Coffer born ca. 1829 Kentucky, lived in Parke County, Indiana and married John O. Butler probably ca. 1848 and had Margaret (Maggie), William, Polly, John H., Albert, Henry, James, Morgan and Clark. They were in St. Clair, Missouri in 1880.

Suspect that Druscilla is daughter of Anderson Copher of Kentucky and Indiana or daughter of one of his brothers. Can any one help me out?

Frances Vanek Coffer Crenshaw

According to the Social Security Death Index, Frances V. Crenshaw, born 2 Dec 1892 died in May 1977 with a last known residence in Moody, McLennan Co, TX. The Texas Death Index sets death date as 15 May 1977. I believe this to be the dau of John Vanek and Veronica Kulak. In the 1900 census she is enumerated with her family with a birth date of Dec 1892. Obituaries for two of her siblings include Mrs. Frances Crenshaw of Moody as a survivor. What Crenshaw did she marry? Did they have any children?
On 4 Jan 1922 a marriage license was issued in McLennan Co to Francis Vanek and M. T. Coffer. I believe they were married at St. Mary’s in West. In 1930, Frances is enumerated with her parents as Frances Cofer with two children, Edvin (Jack?) age 7 and Lucile (Lucy) age 5. Marriage status is divorced. What happened to Edvin and Lucille? What happened to M. T. Coffer? Who was M. T. Coffer?
I checked the Waco paper on microfilm for a week or so after her death date but could find no obit. Guess I could have missed it. As of May 15 the death certificate passed the 50 year mark and may be accessible.
Any help would be appreciated.

After the death of Reuben Cofer on 12 Aug. 1853. F. Rand writes from Owingsville, Kentucky
that Jane Coffer, widow of Reuben Coffer, requests a copy of her
husband's pension declaration.
12 Sept. 1853. Bath Co., Kentucky. Gincey (X) Coffer of
said county, aged 72, declares she is widow of Reuben Coffer. She
was married 24 Feb. 1826 and her husband died 28 Oct. 1840, and
she is still his widow.
10 Oct. 1853. Bath Co., Kentucky. James Suddeth
declares Gincy Coffer is widow of Reuben Coffer.

Does anyone know who Jane was? Did he have two wives or was Jane a first wife? If he divorced her she might have thought she still deserved his pension. I have been led to believe that my Mary Cofer who married Reuben P. Moore was the daughter of Reuben and Jane Cofer. Mary was born about 1804 in Bath Co., KY. Gincy didn't marry Reuben until 1826. Reuben would have been around 66 years old by then.

Willis must have died between 1860 1870. !880 census lists Nancy living with Banister. I can't find any burial records for Willis or nancy in Rhea County. Elizabeth did marry Carter Phillips in 1868. I believe Elizabeth died in 1915 in Dayton. Carter died in 1935.

The names are exact but the dates don't line up. What I have is three snippets.

1) SSN application of John Francis Brians, b. 1875 in Freestone, Sonoma, CA (he applied for his number in 1968, when he a s93, an dlived another three years; study pioneer stock.) On it he lists his father as Benjamin Kinesy Brians, his mother as Sarah Reed.

2) IGI citation for Benjamin Kinsey Walker Brians born 02 Dec 1835 Jackson, Missouri.

3) IGI citation for Benjamin Kinsey Walker Brians marrying Sarah Reed in 1857 in Bates County, Missouri.

I know the IGI isn't infallible. The Benjamin in the census was born in 1818 or so, which is a long way from 1835. I'll poke around sme more.

I think his mother was Ida Shaver and possible sibling Lloyd, Wilma and Elenor. If anyone has info on these people please contact me as this is the concrete wall I keep banging my head against.
