Colin Anthony Coffey, age 56, of Millcreek,Pa,
passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 29, 2012 at UPMC Hamot. Colin was born in Seaham, County Durham, England, on August 14, 1956,
a son of the late Joseph and Mary Ellwood Coffey. Colin obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering; attending both Nelson and Colne College and Burnley College in England. He served his apprenticeship at Joseph Lucas Limited in Burnley, Lancashire, England. Colin lived an accomplished and adventurous life with his wife Jean, whom he married in England January 4, 1980. They immigrated to the United States in 1982. During his years in the U. S Colin; worked as a tool and die maker for Lord Corporation, tool room manager at Accuform, lead mold designer at Tool-All, and has been the plant manager at Executool for the past 17 years. Colin enjoyed traveling the countryside with Jean in his beloved Mustang and his Kia. They enjoyed many adventures camping, kayaking, touring wine country and spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed digital photography and building computers. He also enjoyed collecting beautiful antiques and art work to decorate their home and collecting the rare, like his antique M&M car collection and many duck carvings. Colin is survived by Jean, his wife of 32 years, and five siblings; Josephine, Bill and Eileen (England); Derek (Australia) and Norman (Boston). He is also survived by and will be dearly missed by his adopted American families, the Criscione's, the Serafini's and the Mayes'. Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave.) and are invited to a time of sharing there on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. Erie Times-News on October 2, 2012 .
