The families are closely tied and at least branches of teh Beard and Burwell families traveled a similar route. I keep hoping that tracking them all I will be able to eventually tie down their migrations prior to New York in the late 1700s.

I did have the Civil War entry for David Cole. The extended family was well represented in the Civil War.

Six (6) of my GGGGrandfather Arvy Fost's sons served in the War, including Nathan killed at the Battle of Bull Run,Sanford killed at the Battle of Brawner Creek and Abraham who died in Andersonville Prison. Arvy's twin brother Alva, who was a doctor, served despite his advanced age, as did his son Alva. All these Frosts served with Wisconsin units.
